🚨 WARNING: This post is triggering to predators and their protectors (ie; pastors, churches and non-profit ” faith based recovery centers”) 🚨
Over the last few years, I’ve watched in absolute amazement as well respected pastors across the city have shielded and protested predators, opting instead to malign, slander and accuse the victims who are calling them out. It blows my mind just how culty Pentecostal and Charismatic churches are. And yes… I’m broad stroking here because the abuse taking place in these specific churches is systemic across the board. I realize there are exceptions to the rule but on a wide scale level this is normative in this city. Here in Moncton, we have convicted child abusers in positions of leadership within churches. We have domestic abusers who are shielded from accountability by pastors who would rather protect their reputations than the victims being victimized. We have cult-leaders exploiting the vulnerable and being protected by a large number of churches while they continue to do it. So what am I even referring to? Let’s talk about it.
Way back in 2019 I presented court documents to a pastor here in the city who refused to even look at them. What were these documents? They detailed the domestic abuse of a local “Christian rapper” named David Farnsworth. This reprobate abused his first wife and also his then infant-daughter:
When I learned he was mixing and mastering for Glad Tidings Church, I alerted both Pastor Paul Pattison and Jennie Baker as did others:
Their response wasn’t to take what I presented to them and look it over; no, instead they told me to get lost and sent out emails about how I’m known to “attack churches”. On that point they’re correct; I do indeed attack predatory churches and their leaders/members; I’m not ashamed of it and will continue to do it as long as predators are allowed to run free with the full protection of their pastors. I gave Glad Tidings a full interview from the first wife as well as offering, in person, a stack of court documents to another one of their leaders. When I presented court documents in 2019 as well as audio testimony from David’s first wife, detailing his domestic abuse, Glad Tidings leaders didn’t take any documented action to distance itself from him or deal with the issue publicly. In fact, Jennie Baker continued to publicly credit Farnsworth for media production work. With the knowledge of his abuses in 2019, they continued to praise him, effectively providing him strong credibility, year after year… all while he was abusing his second wife:

And remember, we alerted her as well as the other leaders in 2019 that David was physically violent to his first wife.Fast forward to the end of 2025 / beginning of 2026 and the man I warned them about – the man they allowed to continue producing their children’s music videos – is now charged with sexual assault with a weapon and is now on his second domestic abuse charge relating to his second wife. The church told me to get lost in 2019 and now the man I and several others warned about became 1000 fold the monster he was in 2019:
One of David victims recently posted this: “These charges reflect what me and the kids have been going through for the past (so many) years”The church’s current response to me? To send out emails warning about me “attacking churches”… rather than protecting their church members, women and children from the monster they had working on their media.Note the name “Jennie Baker” above. Her husband, Leon Baker, is executive director at Moncton’s Harvest House. Who does Leon Baker have on staff as a frontline worker? None other than Sue Macdonnell. Who is Sue Macdonnell? She’s a convicted child abuser who starved her 22 month old foster daughter deliberately, was diagnosed as a pathological liar, perpetrator of child abuse and incurable. Read with me this excerpt from the case:This woman – a woman who starved an infant and admitted it after she was caught – is a staff member at a shelter where she’s in contact with the city’s most vulnerable. So we have Jennie Baker (pastor at Glad Tidings) refusing to hold a domestic wife and child abuser accountable back in 2019 who’s now charged with sexual assault with a weapon and we have her husband, Leon Baker, with a convicted child abuser on staff at a place where no predator should have any contact with anyone who’s vulnerable:
Now, let’s move on to the founder of the Harvest House, Cal Maskery, who now leads a cult in Moncton known as ShekinahGo. Who is Cal? Well, he’s a man who has hired convicted pedo’s to run his “ministry”; he’s hired convicted child abusers (Sue Macdonell was hired by him and kept on by Leon Baker); he’s lied and exploited others for personal gain, lying to the Miramachi, stating that wherever a Harvest House is located, the problems of crime, addiction, etc, goes down. The facts on the ground don’t support his claim. Not even remotely. The Harvest House area is where crime and drugs are concentrated, out in the open. This man is a liar and he lied to the town of Miramichi to garner support for setting up his cult in their area:
Thankfully, he was ousted from the Harvest House and after he was ousted (yes, ousted, contrary to what you were told) and started his new cult, he now spends his time begging for donations while siphoning welfare cheques from his “recovery clients”, claiming “God is blessing the ministry”. No; Social Development is “blessing” the ministry. Without Social Development’s monthly cheques to his “recovery clients”, this cult leader’s ministry would sink in a day. Cal Maskery, when at Harvest House, had on staff counsellors who were drug addicts, domestic abusers, convicted child molesters…it’s odd; he seems to gravitate towards people who have harmed either children, women or both. That’s who this man elevates into positions of authority over others. He’s a sick man and the pastors and churches who support him are sick as well. I asked Cal Maskery in person in a meeting with several others present whether or not he’d hire pedo’s and he unashamedly said, “Yes, I would. I give second chances”. I didn’t know it at the time, but he had actually already hired a pedo to run his Glace Bay shelter:
And let’s not forget about his Truro, Nova Scotia, location:
This is the kind of man supported by our city’s churches; a man who hires child molesters, domestic abusers and predators. Ironically, the first domestic abuser mentioned (David Farnsworth) is Cal Maskery’s spiritual son. Go figure.
When I and others released The Harvest House Documentary in 2020, the attacks were relentless. Threats of lawsuits, intimidation, violence towards one of the former staff featured in the film… you name it; they did all in their power to discredit what we presented. But their efforts came to nothing as eventually Cal was removed, most of the staff fired (except the current child abuser) and donations went down. Our goal at that time was to bring to light the disgusting abuses being committed by Cal Maskery’s hand-picked “leaders”. Unfortunately, while the public was sympathetic and while a handful of churches distanced themselves, others churches doubled down and supported this cult leader even more. Glad Tidings, Tidal Church, etc; they stood for Cal and his abuse; they protected this man as well as the domestic and child abusers in their own churches. Now, in 2026, these same churches who doubled down in 2019/2020 have to live with the reality that the predators they protected (and still protect) have done 1000 times worse now than they did back then.
When Paul Pattison, lead Pastor at Glad Tidings, sent out emails warning that I “am known to attack churches”; he did this as an overt attempt to discredit the scandals plaguing his church and it’s abusive members. What kind of a Pastor shields predators and attacks victims? Look no further than Glad Tiding’s leaders. Cal Maskery, back when we released the HH Documentary, put up a Facebook post asking for “prayer” because “satan is attacking the ministry”. No acknowledgment he hired pedos and abusers; just a “Poor me! The devil is coming after me!” post to garner public support while silencing victims.
If you’re a parent … a mom or a dad … would you feel comfortable sending your child to a Sunday school where the church’s music and video production was done by a domestic abuser of not one but two wives? Would you be OK with sending your son or daughter to a recovery center where vulnerable young women were taken advantage of sexually by staff members? Looka the HH documentary on youtube and you’ll see the men Cal hired on staff were forcing young ladies to perform sexual acts in order to stay at the Harvest House. In fact, one staff member would watch women shower … and Cal knew it for a full year before we learned about it and confronted him. His response? I talked to that staff member (James Geldart) and he repented”. No discipline; no removal of the pervert … just a good old talking to and all was well. Would you, as a parent, be OK with this? If not, please… I’m pleading with you … don’t send your children to ShekinahGo, Glad Tidings, etc; in doing so you’ll be placing them directly in harm’s way; potentially opening them up to sexual assaults, physical violence, etc… and when the pastors of these “churches” are told about it, it’ll be buried so no one is held accountable. You’ll be called an “accuser” and “attacker” and the predators will continue to victimize young women and young men freely, with the full backing and protection of their pastors.
Unfortunately, many others reading this post are so loyal to the pastors I’ve named; they’re so invested in the events, the conferences, the music, the preaching, the community outreaches, etc, that in their eyes what I’m saying is all nonsense; nothing more than lies meant to attack these pastors and leaders. But nothing could be further from the truth. I’m not looking to harm these pastors; I’m looking to protect current victims and looking to stop potential future victimization; I’m looking to protect the victims who are too afraid to speak out openly but privately message me; the moms who write to me saying, “Thank you” for posting these things; the young homeless women sending me screenshots of leaders asking for nude photos. This is all for them; it’s for their voice… not mine, not your’s and certainly not the leaders allowing predatory behaviour in their churches. I encourage everyone reading this to verify everything I’ve said; to find a single hole; a single lie; a single time where I’ve made something up. If you find what I’ve said to be the truth … it’s your responsibility to protect your sons and daughters; to sound the alarm against pastors and leaders who shelter predators and allow them to continue victimizing others.
Moncton’s Pentecostal and Charismatic leaders and members can’t claim moral or spiritual authority while at the same time platforming abusers and silencing survivors. Churches and ministries like the Harvest House; members and leaders of Tidal Church who are on HH’s staff and/or who support the HH as well as ShekinahGo; Glad Tidings and others who have prioritized loyalty to reputation over protecting the vulnerable… you need to put policies in place that focus on transparency and accountability… not on secrecy and “dealing with predators internally”. You have plenty of excuses for why you hire predators and you have plenty of resources to try to silence victims and those standing for victims… but at the end of the day you aren’t protecting the sheep; you’re a danger to them. My hope is that you’ll change your policies and procedures in your hiring practices and that you’ll no longer platform those who prey (not pray) on the vulnerable.
Finally, if you’re someone who attends any of these churches (or churches like them), consider doing the following:
✅ Stop financially supporting churches who shield abusers
✅ Stop attending churches where predators are given positions
✅ Demand accountability from leaders who platform predators
If you aren’t a church attender but plan on checking some churches out in the future, consider doing the following:
✅ Confirm background checks on all staff, paid and unpaid
✅ Ask what, if any, their transparency protocols are
✅ Ensure your children are always in the care of multiple church
staff; never leave them alone with individuals; group settings only
If you’re one of the predators or leaders who protects predators, I have three questions:
✅ Why do you attack victims and those who stand for them?
✅ Why do you platform convicted predators in your ministries?
✅ Why aren’t you kicking predators out and warning others?
I’ll await your response… and it will not be surprising if it will be a response attacking this post, myself, others who bring this up, the victims… anyone but the predators this post deals with. For once in your lives… speak to the scandal itself as opposed to attacking anyone and everyone who brings it up.
