An unplanned power outage briefly impacted Pacific Gas & Electric customers in Bernal Heights on Sunday evening around 5:30 p.m.
Almost 500 customers in San Francisco, mostly in Bernal Heights, were impacted by a power outage Sunday evening.
Edgar Hopida, a spokesperson for PG&E, said that as of 6:20 p.m., power had been restored to all customers. He said the cause of the blackout is still being investigated.

Earlier Sunday, 1,600 customers in the Mission District and Castro saw a separate hourlong blackout around 4 a.m., though power was restored by 5 a.m. The cause of that outage was also unknown, Hopida said.

That was the second outage this week in the Mission District. On Thursday, more than 600 customers in the Mission District lost power around 5:45 p.m., with the outage mostly impacting customers between 22nd and 24th streets and between Dolores and Mission streets. PG&E said the reason was damaged equipment.
