They probably limited the Big Tops Jax would’ve met back when he arrived to only Ragatha, Kaufmo, Kinger, and Ribbit so that Jax would’ve learned about abstractions through Ribbit.

Okay here's my question: Is abstraction truly 100% permanent? Cause if it is, that's a pretty fucked up ending for Scratch/Mike Dobby, especially considering he didn't "give up" like the other characters who abstracted; Caine caused him to abstract by fucking around with his mind file.

At the end when we see Scratch again. Did Caine recreate his body with the mind file and put Scratch in his own private circus? Or was that scene just for us the audience to learn Scratch's real name? I was under the impression that it was option 2

My only true question about the finale is what was important about Caine switching up the shapes when he made a path across gaps? My only assumption is that it's a reference to something in coding or how computer viruses move through systems.
It's a visual metaphor for how Caine is able to adapt with creative problem-solving. He tests, observes, and figures out what works. In the case of the shapes, he learned that using the same one every time wasn't going to work.
