Training is my life...
This is some of my training over this last week.
Generally I also run, do kettlebell work, and I also try not to skip leg day... I suck at stretching and need to start doing more of it...
The last clip of me sparring was from a few weeks ago, however, I got my 12 rounds in this morning, but didn't get a video so used this one of me with @benmichi.

As much as I love coaching others, keeping myself fit and getting stronger is massively important to me and is a part of my very being.
This has been a life long journey.

There are many people that have helped me on my journey, and I would be remiss if I didn't acknowledge them.

I am grateful to my main boxing coach, @stephencastle1, for the years of influence, friendship and guidance.
I am grateful to @jsolomon0208 for her coaching and guidance.
I am grateful to my late friend and strength coach Chris Woodman for the knowledge and coaching on my journey to get stronger.
I am grateful to Rodney from @fightright_littlefalls for the massive influence right at the start of my journey many years ago. I still implement so many valuable lessons and idealogies in my coaching and own training that I learnt from Rodney.
I am grateful to Trevor and @joach_jonty_boxing from @knucklegame_boxing_academy for sharing their space, and their knowledge with me. You guys rock.
I am grateful to my parents for their constant support and positive influence right from the start, and I'm grateful for the good genes.

I am grateful to every single person that's worked with me over the years, every sparring partner and opponent, and every piece of advice that's been shared with me from a multitude of amazing people in the fight and fitness world. There are many I've failed to mention, but I am am grateful to everyone that's had a positive impact on my journey. Thank you.

I am constantly learning and evolving, and it is my mission to carry on sharing the knowledge and experience I've gained over the last 30 years.

Your most powerful tool is consistency.

Another excellent outing for Prestige last night.

Last night @rahulgovan fought on the Back to the Streets tournament held in Umhlanga.

We had a tough and experienced opponent who definitely came to fight.
The first round was pretty even, and Rahul was trying to find his rhythm against an opponent that came out firing.
The second round started similarly, but then Rahul switched on, started listening to his corner, and started having fun. His opponent had no answer for his movement, and his punch combinations landed beautifully.
The third round Rahul rocked his opponent numerous times, and Rahul was on fire.

It was a tough fight, and Rahul fought to a draw. I, personally, feel that we edged a win, but I'm also very happy with a draw for this bout as both fighters did exceptionally well.

What I loved about Rahul's performance last night is that he started having fun, and we saw glimpses of pure excellence.
He is evolving into a fantastic fighter. The crowd loves him, and many boxing officials commented saying that they can't wait to see him turn pro.
We still have a lot to learn and a lot more experience to gain before that happens, but we're on a solid trajectory.

I am so proud of Rahul. Well done to him. The future is his for the taking.

Another solid night out for Prestige.

Yesterday evening we went down to Shelly Beach for Rahul to fight on the @box_360_movement tournament.

This was Rahul's first time fighting as the main event on a fight card, and it was an immense honour for us.

Our opponent was tough, super quick with a high work rate, had great angles and movement, and it proved to be a very close fight.
We edged a win via a split decision. It was a super close fight and we learnt so much from it.

I'm so grateful to Rahul's opponent for putting up such a fantastic fight. These experiences help us evolve and level up, and they expose what we need to work on. This is exactly why amateur boxing, as well as White Collar boxing exists. To gain experience and exposure to different styles and circumstances, and to learn from these experiences and make adjustments before going pro or fighting or larger platforms.

I will always be my own fighter's harshest critic. We need to always continue levelling up.

I am immensely proud of Rahul, and I am so excited to see where he goes. He's done so well over the last two years of boxing. It's honestly a privilege to be his coach.

Thank you to @box_360_movement for having us as the main event on your tournament. Previously @neil.smurf had the same honour, and it's amazing for Rahul to have earned that spot.
The event was amazing as always, and we look forward to many more.

At 47, I'm probably in the best shape I've been in decades — and I couldn't have done it without some incredible people.

A huge thank you to @ectfit for keeping my diet and training on point, @coach_jonty_boxing and @knucklegame_boxing_academy for getting this old body to move again and reminding me why I fell in love with this sport, and @prestige.boxing @boxing_coach_christo for pushing me past every limit I thought I had.
