Help Survivors Heal – Fund Our First Therapeutic Retreat For decades, survivors of grooming gangs across Britain have been ignored, silenced, and let down. Many still carry deep emotional wounds — not only from the abuse itself, but also from the betrayal and isolation that followed. The Survivors' Archive exists to make sure those voices are finally heard and the survivors are fully supported. That’s why we’re launching a new programme of Therapeutic Retreats — and we need your help to make the very first one happen. Who We Are The Survivors' Archive is an independent organisation dedicated to uncovering the full truth about the Grooming Gang scandal in Britain. We record survivor testimonies, preserve the truth, and push for change so this can never happen again. But we know that before survivors can share their stories, they must first feel safe, supported, and believed. Our First Retreat – September 2025 From 26–28 September, we’ll bring together 10 female survivors for a free weekend at a beautiful country hotel in Oxfordshire. It will be a safe space for rest, connection, and gentle healing. Over the weekend, survivors will enjoy: Creative workshops, exploring emotions and opening new paths to expression through arts and crafts. Movement and meditation workshops, restoring calm and nurturing resilience. Quiet moments in the tranquility of the rural setting. Fellowship with others who have shared their experiences Everything — accommodation, meals, activities — will be free of charge for survivors. Why This Matters For many survivors, opportunities like this simply don’t exist. They have lived through unimaginable harm, often in silence, and been left to rebuild alone. This retreat is more than a weekend away — it’s a chance to: Rebuild trust Form new friendships with others who ‘get it’ Begin (or continue) a journey of healing in a safe, beautiful space By supporting this retreat, you are giving survivors something they’ve been denied for too long: dignity, community, and hope. How You Can Help The retreat will cost approximately £10,000 to run. That breaks down as follows: Accommodation and food for ten guests for two nights (three meals a day plus refreshments) - £5,000 Five workshops run by experts in their field - £2,500 Two professional therapists on site at all times to offer support £2,500 Every pound raised will go directly to funding this weekend and laying the foundations for future retreats — including for male survivors, children of survivors, and family members affected by these crimes. This is your chance to stand alongside survivors and say: You matter. You are believed. You are not alone. The Survivors' Archive is a registered company limited by guarantee. We are registered under the name 'The National Archive for Survivors of Grooming Gangs'. Company number 16471660.
