Nearly three months have passed since Kodai Murata, a Japanese SDF officer, broke into the Chinese embassy with a knife. China deplores the slow investigation and handling of the case and has lodged protests with Japan on many occasions.
The incident once again reveals multiple apan. The Japanese government needs to rein in the right-wing impact, reflect on its education on history and policy toward China, and maintain discipline in its SDF so as to remove the breeding ground for such kind of incidents.
