A Pasadena Unified School District plan calls for the removal of nearly 200 trees across 11 campuses. Advocates believe at least 16 trees have been felled so far. The district says it’s due to potential soil contamination caused by the Eaton Fire.
Two students, 17-year-old Paloma Muniz-Ochoa and 18-year-old Jasper Bang are now tree-sitting to protect one oak.

Please also support the most ancient of trees and ecosystems @fairycreekblockade. The Canadian government has been cutting down 2,000 year old forests.
