If you have any modern consoles, try Sonic Origins Plus. It’s an HD compilation of Sonic 1,2,3,CD…and you can play as Amy if you want.

Haha, I'll admit it, when it comes to hype, I'm easily excited. After the hype and initial excitement dies away, it's easier to judge if the game is actually a good pinball game. Sonic currently has theme (videogames) and artwork (foil cabinet) going for it. The playfield is also looking very interesting and what many would call "packed".

Inside sources have told me to don't get your hopes up for that loop. It looks like it will loop, it was designed for it to loop, but after extensive durability and functionality testing they were not able to get it to loop so it's just there for decoration.
