One of the suspects in a $17 million armored car vault robbery last fall in Charlotte, N.C., pleaded guilty Friday to money laundering.
Thomas Grant, 21, appeared before U.S. Magistrate Brent McKnight, who accepted the plea but did not impose a sentence. Grant, who placed stolen cash in a rented safe deposit box, faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $500,000.
