How To Guide 📚How 2 install TWRP & ROOT your Xiaomi 15 + SUSFS [KernelSU Next] - June, 2026.

This is my first post on XDA & i hope that it helps you. Im really grateful that community like this exists & it helped me in so many different ways through many years. Much love & respect to administrators & moderators.

Reason for creating this is that i did not find any step-by-step guide for this device anywhere. Most of these things end up on Telegram & other forums, unfortunately...

Device:
—————————————————
● Brand & Model: Xiaomi 15 (dada)
● ROM: HyperOS (Recommended is Global with India as region) ~ Avoid custom ROMs
● Security patch / update: February 1, 2026. or older
● Kernel: 6.6.77-android15

Requirements:
—————————————————
1. PC ~ if you don't have TWRP
2. Unlocked bootloader
3. Enable USB debugging + Security settings, install via USB, Disable adb authorization timeout, Disable "Verify apps over USB"

Files:

● TWRP => Link
● KernelSU Next + Manager => #1 & #2

Installing TWRP:
—————————————————
1. Download "xtwrp.zip" & extract it to C:\ drive
2. Enter Fastboot mode on your phone & connect it to PC
3. Open "xtwrp" folder & run "flash.cmd", then wait
4. Now in TWRP, go to "Reboot > System"

Done, that's it.

ROOTing:
—————————————————
1. Move "XKNXT-SUSFS-XXXXX-android15-6.6.77-20XX-XX-normal-AnyKernel3.zip" in "Download" folder on your device
2. Install "KernelSU Next (spoofed).apk" + give all permissions in Settings
- Open it & check if the Kernel version matches.
3. Go to TWRP recovery & then press Install > Download & find ".zip" file from Step 1
4. Click on it & "Swipe to confirm Flash"

Done, press "Reboot system" & you're good 2 go.

Just to remove any confusion because of possible language barrier, this did not work for me:
SukiSU_v4.1.0_40201-release.apk

That is why i recommended all things i did, despite newer versions existing. Anyways, wish you best of luck .

First of all, thanks for the hard work. What you guys think? i match everthing except for the kernel. Do you think it is doable with your instruction and is it worth? Im a noob i have to add, the last time i flashed/rooted a xiaomi was on redmi 5 or so^^ I just want do debloat and degoogle as much as possible without playing cat and mouse

When it comes to kernel, according to KernelSU documentation (SukiSU Ultra is fork of it), the deal is this:

Installation | KernelSU

A kernel-based root solution for Android GKI devices.

KernelRelease :
Version.PatchLevel.SubLevel-AndroidRelease-KmiGeneration-suffix
w .x .y -zzz -k -something
6.6.77-android15-8-gf9a1d4bd8353-abogki440974771-4k

.77 after 6.6 is called SubLevel & if it isn't matching with mine, IT IS TOTALLY FINE.

If 6.6 is matching, that means IT IS COMPATIBLE, but....

Second most important thing is SECURITY PATCH LEVEL. There is something called Anti-Rollback protection & our phone has that, meaning that if you try to flash new kernel, you will potentially brick your device.

I will repeat this from post, if your security patch is above November 1, 2025., for ex. November 15th or December 1st, then do not flash the kernel from the post.

Thanks for the help. So i will post a few specs about my phone's current state:

HyperOS 3.0.6.0WOCEUXM
Androidversion: 16 BP2A.250605.031.A3
Securitypatch: 2025-11-01
Kernel: 6.6.77-android15-8-g63ce7556864c-ab13994517-4k

Did i forget anything? Do you know of any working roms for the rooted Xiaomi 15?

Hi, I was just about to download the xiaomi.eu ROM, and it’s very likely that the security patch level is already the latest.

In this case, is it safe to install the kernel from this post?
If not, could you please share which xiaomi.eu ROM version is compatible with this Sukisu kernel?

Hello!
I'm currently on HyperOS 2.0.201.0, I don't really like the fact that HyperOS 3 has that memory sentinel stuff and the untoggable hyperisland, also my kernel is 6.6.30.

Any chance that it could still work?

Just a quick question, will I still be able to flash stock normal if something goes left?
And is 6.6.77 compatible with HyperOS 2?
