Hello, is gpu passthrough no longer supported? I am using a VM with a gpu passed through, but Roblox says that it cannot be used in a VM after a few seconds. I thought that VMs with gpu passthrough were allowed.

Based on bitdancer’s response and testing on my end, Roblox via a KVM GPU passthrough works flawlessly. for my system it is a single GPU passthrough as I only have 1 GPU
If Roblox doesn’t launch, can you provide your specs, along with what you gave the VM and the XML file of the VM in a .txt format (so that you can upload it here)
Thank you for the offer to help. I was able to figure it out eventually (hyper-v needed to be enabled in Windows). Roblox works in my vm now.

Any updates on Roblox either making a Linux port or whitelisting Linux in their anti-cheat? Seems crazy that this thread has been around for 2 years and nothing has come from it.

There’s not been any updates from Roblox and all information listed in this post are still up-to date from my best knowledge. I still run Linux and Sober as it’s the only way to run it at the moment.
I apologize for being slightly late I don’t usually come to the forum, I try to keep this post updated to this day however, and I have made updates to this post since it came out with new information
There have not been any updates because there are no updates. Nothing has changed since my last post in this thread.
I’ve switched to Linux recently and I’d like the Roblox team to start considering native support for it. Hell, even the Switch 2.
More and more people are switching to Linux by the day because of how disastrous Windows has become as an OS.
If you’re going to add support for PS5, what’s stopping you from supporting Linux? If it’s the distributions, an AppImage shall suffice, at least for the client.

Safe is relative. We are not banning users for using Sober. However, this does not mean that Roblox endorses the use of Sober, nor that we won’t break it by accident or on purpose in the future.
Yeah I imagined so, I haven’t seen anything too important change since I first released this post, however it should still be important that this post remains up-to-date if things do start happening, I am willing to do that,
I also appreciate that you are monitoring this thread, I did not expect that and I want to thank you for doing so.
