Adventures in Lancroft: Chapter I
The Ashmond
Legacy
In the quiet, isolated settlements of the valleys it's easy to keep a secret from the outside world. Something happened at the old Ashmond Estate that no one will speak about but sooner or later the old place will reveal its own secrets.
Meanwhile, in the city, Nathaniel Cromwell and Siobhan Kakar find the answer to their financial troubles landing right in their lap – but they soon find they have bitten off more than they can chew.

Nathaniel fled to the Vale of Newton, the up and coming city in the hilly north west of Lancroft, away from the trouble he had landed himself into back at the Capital – he soon fell into company with Siobhan and the two of them set up the 'Specialist Assistance' agency. Using his brains and her brawn, they fulfill any need their out of options customers might have of them – for a price. Nathaniel fancies himself a charmer and, for the time being, has had great success talking himself out of difficult situations.

Siobhan joined the Lancroft army when she was sixteen and spent ten years in service - when she left she lived off her army pension. The change of pace her life had taken left her battling Nihilistic cynicism, and she was unhappy with her lot. When the money ran out she had to find a new vocation and, luckily, around the same time she met Nathaniel, whose vital outlook on life was a much needed breath of fresh air.
Siobhan sees herself as someone seeking relevance and she refuses to become one of the jaded former soldiers she used to derided in her youth.

Authors Comment
This is the very first RPG I've made since my times plonking about in RPGMaker2000 as a teenager. While I'm sure it might show in some places, I'm actually really pleased with what I've accomplished and I'm proud to show it off! This is in no small part due to members of this forum – thanks you guys for helping me out when I got stuck!
