Newly “updated” female models for MMORPG RuneScape has sparked criticism from parts of the community, with some players arguing that the updated models make female characters look noticeably less feminine.
The controversy stems from Jagex’s ongoing avatar “modernization” project, one of the game’s largest visual overhauls in years. The update introduces new head and body models, improved facial animations, dozens of new hairstyles, and refreshed customization options.
