When Ultraman Ginga first aired in China, Bandai debuted the Spark Doll Series(闪光玩偶系列), a line of 2-pack figures. Unlike the other 2-packs in the Ultraman toyline, such as the Memorial Fights series, the pairings are largely randomized. Some characters who had not yet seen a release in the Ultra Hero/Monster 500 line at the time received downscaled versions of the original Ultra Sofubi Series figures. These figures were only compatible with products released by Bandai China, including the DX Ginga Spark and Victory Lancer.
When Ultraman X aired on Chinese television, the Spark Doll Series line was repackaged with Cyber Cards that were compatible with Bandai China's DX X Devizer.
These special sofvi figures were exclusively sold at the Ultra Base(奥特基地) locations.

Trivia[]
An example of a Spark Doll Series bootleg
Bootlegs of the Spark Doll Series sets by Sunday, a toy manufacturer with a suspiciously familiar logo, use the same packaging but replace the soft vinyl figures with articulated action figures.
The precursors to the VS sets are the Sofubi Dou and Play Hero VS series sold in Japan, but there was also the Ultraman Zero VS Series(赛罗奥特曼对决系列) released in the mainland by Bandai China when Ultraman Zero: The Revenge of Belial was first shown in Chinese theatres in 2010. These sets are pictured in the gallery below.
