Local LAN Streaming Questions/Recommendations
Local LAN Streaming Questions/Recommendations

Hey all, recently my FGC local has started running a monthly MBON bracket. We just ran our first event which was a blast, me as part of the setup team and the person who handles the streaming of the event all assumed there was a spectator mode in LAN which we either couldn't find or doesn't exist.

I watched a stream of a few locals after our event and saw that others were streaming their four player setups with the stream cut up into four sections with each player's video these guys for example.

And other streams like the Frosty Faustings tournaments look to be using, what I'm guessing is a physical switcher of some kind to swap between video feeds. I could be wrong about it being a physical switch.

Either way I'm not a streamer, I help with the tech support for the local, but I can't really wrap my head around how setups like these work, what equipment may be necessary, or how to do something like this while introducing minimum additional lag. Does anyone here run or has run a local stream and has any tips or insight to help us level up our local?

Calling All Gundam Maxiboosters
Calling All Gundam Maxiboosters

I am trying to find people to play Gundam VS Maxiboost with (hopefully some co-op) I am very new to the game, but I have finished all of the Maxi Boost Missions(even X Sector) I search for rooms all of the time with no luck. Just looking to see if there are people who can help, I want to get the rest of these Trophies 🏆 [PSN is DVF_ComeradeKali] (I also play Ghost of Tsushima🙏🏻)

I just reinstalled Modded Boost and I've been having a blast. Going from the Full Boost version to this recent version of GP01FB is like a huge leap when it comes to comfort. It's the best and probably the comfiest 2k cost unit imo. Wish I could play as the base version from Next Plus as 1.5k cost.

Possible home release announcement tomorrow at evo (?)
Possible home release announcement tomorrow at evo (?)

Or nah (?)

I really wanna believe.

We know Bandai hates money and delivering, but with the constant decline of arcades, even in Japan, and the community pushing with fury for years now, I would say there’s a fair chance Bandai could be considering the western players as humans too 👀

Also, why bother with an exhibition at evo now if not to come through the big door.

But knowing Bandai, it could even be to announce new Gundam vs wallpapers for Mac OS, those fellas do really be hating western moneys…

I'm going to be honest I really want to like this game
I'm going to be honest I really want to like this game

but Don't enjoy it honestly I don't know why I really want to enjoy it but it's just something that I don't find enjoyment unlike the PSP version (GUNDAM NEXTPLUS)

speed here is making me feel like it's going way too fast

The boost nerf when landing on the ground is quite annoying but understandable

but still I still don't know why I can't enjoy this more than the PSP I'm not hating on it I just never feel The enjoyment for me

Looking for a video game that actually features the original XXXG-01W Wing Gundam. Always loved it's design, bird mode, and weaponry, but it has always undoubtedly been completely overshadowed by Wing Zero, and it's EW versions. Are there any games that feature the OG Wing - aka "TV Version"?

I'm a big fan of ExVsMbo and really want to play ExVs2 what options do I have
Question/Help

I've sunk a ton of hours into maxiboost on and want to try some of the new suits in vs2. the only problem is that I can't go to Japan to try the game out. I have a lower end PC and a ps4 but nothing else.

my question is what are the options for playing the game in the west? is it possible? I've seen a post or two about emulation, but most of what I've seen is about maxiboost so is it possible to emulate ExVs2IB?

any help is greatly appreciated because I really don't even know where to start

Anyone in jp know of where I can play infinite boost past midnight?
Anyone in jp know of where I can play infinite boost past midnight?

I'm hoping someone who is in/has visited Japan would know the answer to this. I was surprised to learn that all arcades close at midnight (or that the 24 HR ones close off the coin op games overnight). I want to play some infinite boost at least a little longer, all night if possible

ALSO, in Osaka and Tokyo, where do the pros play? Every arcade vlog I've watched had NO ONE playing on these cabs

question about emulation
question about emulation

i found out about the versus franchise the other day, but i don't have a play station and neither do any of my friends and saw some old posts talking about emulation, but they were from like, at least a few months ago so i was just wondering if it was possible to play it online with emulation and if you can is you still need an extra computer to run it. once more new to this so sorry if this is a really stupid question.

TEMPORARY JOYSTICK DRIFT REMEDY FOR PS VITA SLIM FOR THOSE WHO WANTED A NICE Mobile Suit Gundam: Extreme VS Force session
TEMPORARY JOYSTICK DRIFT REMEDY FOR PS VITA SLIM FOR THOSE WHO WANTED A NICE Mobile Suit Gundam: Extreme VS Force session
Discussion

So I had my sony ps vita slim handheld console for over a decade and more

and my ps vita slim is still in good condition right now year 2025 nearing year 2026 since it is december 23 2025 right now

since im careful to my things but the only problem is the left stick drift that constantly goes down if the game you are accessing uses the left stick as directional movement button (this issue of stick drift was recent so I really took care of it well but I even with my care I still cannot prevent the natural depreciation of gadgets of course)

I had lots of video games on steam pc and so as my ps vita too

but on ps vita I swear by physical game cartridges back then (r3 region except wipeout 2048 because it is my first ps vita game back then and im ignorant about game regions back then) so most of my ps vita video games were in physical cartridge to be put to ps vita to access

===

the thing is earlier im yearning for a gundam game and possibly because of agreement with sony, not all gundam titles with unique game play mechanics can be ported and released on other platforms like going to PC even after several years because of possible agreement with sony thats still in effect until now

so upon looking at steam pc the available gundam video games are not that many and not all kinds of cool gundam games were on steam PC yet like I said possibly because of agreement with sony still in effect

but on my ps vita slim I still have my 2 gundam video games being:

a. the beloved gundam breaker 3 (there is gundam breaker 4 on steam but gundam breaker 3 is really the most beloved gundam breaker of all)

b. Mobile Suit Gundam: Extreme VS Force

both of which are not available on steam platform for PC

===

so when I tried running Mobile Suit Gundam: Extreme VS Force earlier since the movement buttons are tied to BOTH d-pad buttons and LEFT Joystick my gundam moves down on its own because of the left joystick drift problem so even if I can control my gundam via the d-pad it still conflicts on its own because of the left joystick drift erroneously going down on its own

which I cannot fix right now since it requires a possible replacement of joy stick and a lot of hassle on my end to look at tutorials and stuff so in short I find it a bother to fix it for now

===

TEMPORARY FIX

so I made a tempory solution that solved this problem but this will not be applicable to all video games you have on the vita

the solution being go to settings>accessibility>button assignments>check enable button assignments>customise button assignments> CHANGE THE LEFT JOYSTICK INTO LEFT JOY STICK INPUT INTO LEFT JOY STICK INTO RIGHT JOY STICK

SO THIS WAY THEY ARE SWAPPED BEING THE PHYSICAL RIGHT JOY STICK CONTROLS THE LEFT JOYSTICK VICE VERSA

===

how it solved my problem for some video games? like in my case for Mobile Suit Gundam: Extreme VS Force?

so in the game Mobile Suit Gundam: Extreme VS Force the right joy stick only functions as to changing targets of enemy gundams

now that the left joy stick functions as right joystick - it means even if my left joystick erroneously movesdown on its own IT WILL NOT REGISTER ANY input TO GO DOWN because the input it only registers is the function of the right joystick which is changing gundam targets so it only registers left and right direction to change targets which my faulty left joystick is able to do

while my phyisical right joy stick now functions as left joy stick so my physical right joy stick ALONG with the d-pad functions as movement for the gundams

SO MY GUNDAM DOES NOT MOVE ON ITS OWN ANYMORE hahaha

but like I said this is not effective for any video games as what if the video game you are accessing requires both the left joy stick and right joystick in a complex manner? but this is a temporary remedy to tackle joy stick drift for some video games like in my case

I hope I helped some people here

and I will now proceed to have some good gundam sessions of gundam video games available only on playstation consoles like ps vita slim and not yet on pc

Are there any MS That are consider to be "Main Units"?
Are there any MS That are consider to be "Main Units"?

A few weeks ago, I found a Japanese comment stating that in an interview for Infinite Boost, the Developers are trying to focus on "Main Units" (ex. Mighty Strike Freedom and G-Quuuuuux).

Meaning that we'll possibly going to get a lot of prominent MS this time around. Which makes since IB is made to celebrate the EXVS 15th Anniversary. Let alone attracting new players to the series.

However, it also means that we may get little to no lesser-known/niche units (ex. Clone/GVS-exclusive unit).

And while their plenty of main suits like Saviour, Seravee and Shiva. we still don't know what the rest of the unlocks will look like.

which leads us to main topic of knowing which MS are "Main Unit" material with a good chance of getting to IB?

I Hope We can get Playable Mobile Armors again.
I Hope We can get Playable Mobile Armors again.

I remember the last time that happened was in Gundam Versus when there was only Big Zam. In fact, Federation vs Zeon 2 have a couple of Playable MAs but only because it was on the console.

Of course, EXVS may not get a port console anytime soon nor have any Playable MAs at all (especially if they're difficult to make compared to MS). it'll be really cool if they bring it back to spice things because there's a lot of them to choose to from The Physco Gundams MK 1 and 2 to Regnant and Graze Ein.

But what are your thoughts about it? Also are there any MAs would like to be playable?

How to play Extreme Versus 2 Infinite Boost online matches in the arcades?
How to play Extreme Versus 2 Infinite Boost online matches in the arcades?

Currently visiting Japan and been playing every day at the Taito game station arcade. Seems all the Japanese players all playing online. I bought a Bana passport card and registered it online but the online match options are greyed out so I can't select them. The only option I can select is to play against in store players but no one plays that. Would like to be able to play online since the route battles feel too easy now.

TL;DR, sidestepping and free movement codes working for GVGNP on hardware, PSVita tested at least, with some caveats

I believe a vast majority here knows about the many cheats made by, I believe Taiwanese fans, at least judging from Facebook groups where these content is more prevalent; if some of you are unaware, it basically is a full on fan rework/update for GVGNP, bringing mechanics from the EXVS series, such as sidestep and burst, alongside burst attacks and some reworks across the board, for example Zeta Gundam and Nobel that play quite differently their GVGNP versions; the reason I mention this, other than getting in this is an iceberg of its own (like, I was trying to get it to work on mobile, but the performance was straight up unplayable, until I learned that I needed a fork of PPSSPP on mobile that has GSL, whatever that is, plus Refresh Rate at 15 or the code just straight up breaks, only to realize later down the line that there's a difference in behave of my .ini from my phone to my pc, on my PC, any hard knockdown disables any and all movement and you can't do anything until you either get hit or half a minute passes by), is that I have a PSVita, and while the game works flawlessly on my phone, and is the objectively better method to play it, specially with one amazing texture pack someone did, I still need to use my USB Controller for whenever I want to do some quick matches on free battle, or play touch, which is not my preferred method; so, having a PSVita at hand solves everything, Adrenaline is a 99.9% replica of a PSP, so if any of these codes ever worked on an actual PSP, they SHOULD work on a PSVita, and with that in mind, I went on to try it out, problem is, my code is absolute spaghetti, like, // before the vast majority of the codes, repeating _S for Serial after each code, notes in parenthesis in the middle of the lines of code, none of that worked when I tried it on Adrenaline through CWC, here's the code in case anyone wants to inspect it, so it starts my years long journey, for about 2 years I've been on and off trying to find information regarding someone with a working cheat, something that has been proven to work on an actual hardware, I didn't even care for the rebalancing, I didn't even care for the free movement, and specially the burst and burst attack, as much of a complete black magic fuckery that is, and I commend whoever made that, all I truly cared about was the sidestep; this journey finally finished around 5 days ago, thanks to u/latinlingo11, who provided me with an extremely, but somehow working, cheat code, that barely got the sidestep to work, but it was the first time my character was stepping to the side, from then on, I started experimenting, taking bits and pieces of the .ini I had on my phone to this new cheat, after many many attempts, I got to a place that I'm 1000% comfortable with, and I believe that is mostly crash-free, crashes will probably happen, and I dunno how a PSP would behave towards those, but last I tested, I managed to do 2 full arcade runs without ever running into a crash, one that took me a full 30 minutes; now, some things of note

1 - I tested this on TempAR, I had to change some values to make all cheats to appear on my end, but since I trimmed to only the barest minimum components, meaning, only the cheats that are enabled by default, since CWC only reads cheats to a certain point, I do not guarantee that it will read everything, the last one appearing should be Senkai v2.BD+, if this is not the last cheat on your list, I'm afraid you'll have to change to TempAR

2 - this is truly tragic, AND MIND BOGGLING, but d-pad play is not perfect, I'm well aware that playing on the analog stick sucks, specially for the PSP, Vita still cuts off some of the slack being way bigger and having a way better range, but it sadly is what it is; the reason being, for some godforsaken reason, dpad up and right has full priority over almost all melee attacks, meaning that just by pressing dpad right or up, the attack will cancel instantly, regardless of the stage of the animation, this goes even further with one code named "Rainbow Step Forbidden", that, as the name implies, prohibits the usage of the sidestep on certain moves, bc they would desynch, for example, GP03's mine wire, it works perfectly for the analog stick, as in, you can't sidestep it, but on dpad, and EXCLUSIVELY on dpad right or up, you can; that's why, for a better balanced, and above all safer experience, I'd recommend using the analog stick

3 - I did not managed to fit in the burst attacks, matter of fact, I actively went against it, my reasoning is that GVGNP is one of the games that give you the most amount of resources from what I've gathered, 5 buttons plus assists, not only that, but the balancing of this mechanic is all over the place, shocking, I know, you can usually charge 2 to 3 bursts at above 500 before the match finishes, you can use burst attacks at any point before it reaches 0, bursts recharge mostly everything, including boost gauge, and are also, as the name implies, a burst. So yeah, its unfair for the cpu imo, but above all, the functionality behind each burst attack must be something like 300 to 400k words of code, I'm not up for the challenge, I do not doubt that it would work, I just don't want to be the guy to do that, if anyone secretly tried this in the past as well and got better results, please share with us, if not, you'll have both codes to try it out yourselves, if you're in the same situation as me that is; also also, one last thing, also didn't try to import the rebalancing codes. now without further ado here's the code

I really hope they bring Maxiboost to Switch 2.
I really hope they bring Maxiboost to Switch 2.

I want to hope for the newer Iteration, but better to keep my wishes modest.

I've been having a blast on my copy for PS5, but playing on handheld would be amazing. Combine that with it garnering new audiences as a "new" switch 2 title, it could re energize the online scene. It also being so popular in Japan, having a handheld version to play on those train rides just makes too much sense.

Let's see it happen, Japan!

Maxiboost ON (PS5 Share Play option?)
Maxiboost ON (PS5 Share Play option?)

I love ExVs Maxiboost On and playing it with my friends
I'd love to play it with a friend of mine who lives across the country
We both have Playstation 5
But I'm wondering if it is possible to Share Play the game so that we can play together as if just doing Couch Co-op instead of him having to buy the game and us having to online lobby.
I've tried troubleshooting it a bit, but unlike other games where Share Play Together just lets them play normally, ExVs prompts for a second player controller to be connected and, when I do that, my friend still has no control.
Does anyone have a solution for this?
