開始から3週間が経過。
毎朝決まった時間に薬を飲むことで血中濃度を一定に保ち、薬の効果を高められるらしい。私は8時半に飲んでいるのだが、10分でも過ぎると「ヤバい！ハゲる！」という謎の危機感に駆られ、毎朝なんとか服用できている。
習慣にはなってきたものの、お酒を飲んだ日は忘れて寝てしまいがちなので要注意。
そんな中、治療中に「脱毛期」が訪れた。
医師から事前に説明があったので驚きはないものの、風呂上がりに頭皮マッサージをした手に残る髪の毛…正直、不安しかない。
この脱毛期に完全に逝ってしまったら企画倒れ。
頼むから、ここを乗り越えてくれ、俺の髪よ。

Apparently, taking the medication at the same time every morning helps maintain a stable concentration in the bloodstream, which maximizes its effectiveness. My designated time is 8:30 AM — and if I’m even 10 minutes late, I’m hit with a sudden panic of “Oh no, I’m going bald!” That fear alone has kept me surprisingly consistent.
It’s become a habit for the most part, but I tend to forget on nights when I’ve been drinking, so I really need to watch out for that.
And right in the middle of all this — the shedding phase has arrived.
My doctor warned me it would happen, so it’s not a shock. But seeing strands of hair left on my hands after a scalp massage post-shower… honestly, it’s hard not to worry.
If everything falls out during this phase, the whole journey is over before it begins.
Come on — just get through this. I’m counting on you, hair.

脱ハゲ計画、始動。
内服薬3種と外用薬を処方された。
内服薬の役割：
• 抜け毛を抑える薬 ― いわゆる「防御」
• 毛を太く、健やかに育てる薬 ― いわゆる「育成」
• それらの効果を高める薬 ― いわゆる「補助」
外用薬の役割：
頭皮に直接栄養を届ける。
まずはこれらを半年分処方された。
効果の実感には個人差があり、1〜2年ほどかかるとのこと。
3ヶ月で効果が出るとされる注射治療もあるが、今回は内服薬と外用薬でいく。
ステージ4から何もしなければ10年で毛沢東氏と同じヘアスタイルになるのは確定された未来。
一年後どこまでスカスカを改善できるか。

Operation: De-Balding — Initiated.
I’ve been prescribed 3 oral medications and a topical treatment.
Role of the oral medications:
• A drug to reduce hair loss — the “Defense”
• A drug to grow thicker, healthier hair — the “Growth”
• A drug to boost the effectiveness of the other two — the “Support”
Role of the topical treatment:
Delivers nutrients directly to the scalp.
Starting with a 6-month supply of all of the above.
Results vary by individual, but are generally expected within 1–2 years.
There’s also an injection treatment said to show results in as little as 3 months, but I’m going with the oral meds and topical for now.
I’m at Stage 4 — let’s see how much I can fill in the gaps by next year.

頭頂部の白髪がどのくらいか気になって撮ってみたら、白髪どころかスッカスカなハゲの進行具合に我ながら驚いた。
「ここまで（45歳）よく頑張ってくれた」と潔くボウズにするか、それとも一念発起で抗って復活を目指すか……
翌日、湘南美容外科へ行った。
正直、美容クリニックは苦手。
されどもという想いを胸において受付を済ませた。
診断結果は進行度ステージ4.5といったところ。癌なら絶命レベルだが、ハゲのステージ4はギリギリセーフとのこと。
ちなみにステージは7まであり、6と7は植毛以外に復活の手段はないらしい。
そして5年でステージが1つ上がるペースなので、このまま放置していたら55歳で完全ハゲ（完パゲ）という未来が待っていた……
来てよかった。
効果が現れるまで約1年。
変わっていく姿を、ここに記録していく。
Took a photo to check my gray hair. Turned out it wasn't gray I should be worried about — it was hair loss.
Shave it or fight back? I chose to fight.
Went to a hair clinic the next day. Diagnosis: Stage 4.5 out of 7.
If I did nothing, fully bald by 55.
Glad I went.
