I’m a Stones fan and still haven’t bought it yet. However, while at the library I saw the 3 CD set and decided to check it out. It’s actually a fun listen (especially when you have a few libations to go with it).

I might pony up to get it.

I will keep Honk 3CD until I find a loose disc 3 on ebay.

Bought the double-vinyl, because there are a handful of latter-day Stones tracks I don't have and probably won't buy the parent albums for, but really bought this set for the Florence Welch "Wild Horses." I am not regretful.

Actually I'll ditch Grrr! since Doom and Gloom & One More Shot is on this also.

I revisited Honk the other day and it is really loud, even louder than I initially thought - most of the songs are DR 6 & 7, which is pretty much a brickwalled listening experience, at least to my ears.

I hope that Universal will finally remaster their catalog again and stop reusing the highly compressed 2009 remasters for all of the compilations.

I'll waiting for that also. I'd trade the dvd from Sweet Summer Sun for the live disc from Honk.

I remember picking up Grrr at a Walgreens for like $4.99. Walgreens of all places!

I still like "Forty Licks" (have my original copy with slip-case from 2002). Don't like the edits but what do you expect from a bunch of songs crammed on there.

One near me used to have a nice selection at that price, including CDs from The Smiths and Erasure. That is even more surprising than a mainstream act like the Stones!

I remember CVS having a $1.99 CD bin that was filled with Billy Joel remasters and copies of the two-disc GRRR!

While still sealed, most discs had cracks and other evidence of harsh handling.

The jewel cases . . . It looked like CVS took all their unreturnable vendor returns and sent them back out in the chain as a clearance special.

I just got back from my CVS and Walgreens and they don't even have CD's.

I listened to “Forty Licks” in the car. Had the Honk I’m borrowing from the library too. Just using “Don’t Stop” as an example—sounded so much better to my ears on “Forty Licks”.

Also, “Brown Sugar” sounded so much better on Licks too. You can hear more separation; sounds more muddied on “Honk”

Plus, "Don't Stop" isn't butchered on "Forty Licks", as it is on "Honk".

Forty Licks has to be one of the coolest names for a compilation. Honk, not so much. Nor is Jump Back or Grrr. Hot Rocks might actually be the best ever, though.

Just on the one-disc CD version, or the 2xLP vinyl. It's full length on the other editions
