While I like some of the guest stars, I'd prefer a live set without those participants. Just the Stones, please! :)

They are late-period hits on what is basically a late-period comp.

Both more concise and better, imo.

And people wonder why the Stones keep putting out these compilations.

Yep. While I certainly have a lot of Stones on vinyl, I don't have a single comp. So jumped in on this one.

I would have preferred a third disc of Stones "hits" rather than live tracks featuring people I don't care about. Okay, I have some CDs featuring the ubiquitous Dave Grohl, but Paisley and the rest do nothing for me.

All orders will receive an official HONK bumper sticker, only while supplies last.

A "live rarities" set going back to '89 would be really cool. I don't think anyone needs more versions of "Tumblin' Dice," but getting stuff like "Rainbow," "Emotional Rescue," etc, plus the then-new songs from each record that were never played again after their initial tours ("Back Of My Hand," "Terrifying," etc etc) would be a cool release that I think would generate some interest, especially if it focused on different shows than ones that have already been released. I'm pretty burned out on the big hits, but there's a ton of songs they've only played live a handful of times that would be really fun to have as a standalone live compilation.

Cheers, what site is that ?

Is the live LP with the 3 LP set or just 4 LP set ?

Same here to be honest but pleased that some others are included without the guest appearances.

The "UK Singles Chart" I cited for ASMB? seems to be the real thing; not a phoney-baloney "Billboard Modern Rock" chart (where ASMB? reached #3).

(I'm not being defensive; I'm actually agreeing with you.)

Once again, the Rolling Stones are in the recycling business. At this point, the last thing I want from the band is another Stones' hits package. I'm with the previous posters calling for a more substantial raid of the archives - there's gotta be some outtakes, B-sides, and rejects sitting on a dusty shelf somewhere?

The official Rolling Stones website. It says that the 4LP box set is limited to 2,500 copies only in the US, so I wouldn't wait too long if you were thinking about ordering it.

I was thinking about buying the recent Voodoo Lounge-era live album ... until I heard the song featuring Sheryl Crow.

Of course I do. My point is that GRRR is a fine retrospective that covered the Stones' full career.
    This ain't.

Yes and it was great! But the world isn't perfect, and the band doesn't have exclusive right to re-issue every aspect of its career however and whenever it likes, unfortunately. The license with ABKCO expired... so here we are

For sure. (Though I thought ABKCO also had some control over Sticky Fingers material, and yet "Brown Sugar" and "Wild Horses" made it. I'm probably wrong.)

If I had been The Stones, or The Stones' managers, I would've called this release "Go To Hell ABKCO", based on it's 1971-2016 track listing. Or something along those lines. This is, of course, the band who once released an album titled Sucking In The Seventies, so why not?
