Visiting Bali’s Fitness Spots…If I Were You

Bali has welcomed artists, surfers, thrill seekers, and now, weight lifters. Bali has become one of the world’s top spots for fitness.

If these fitness trends continue, dumbbells could become as abundant as palm trees in Bali. And then there’s the ultimate full-body workout: dodging scooters in Ubud’s narrow streets. In Bali, you could hear the cheerful push for self-improvement and then return home with rock-hard calves, a calmer mindset, and possibly a few mosquito bites. True functional fitness.

Boosting one’s fitness repertoire, one can use a vacation to get stronger and healthier by heading to a fitness meccas. I sure learn new lifts and workout routines when visiting a place like Bali. So far, the world has two competing places to do this: Bali and Phuket. We already wrote about Phuket in this blog.

Now it’s time to shine lights on Bali’s fitness offerings. Tough task. As one Brazilian expat friend in Canggu told me, “Covering Bali fitness in one page is like covering the New Testaments in one tweet.” Let’s try the highlights though!

We can dive into four fitness genres: Larger group exercise resorts, local gyms, wellness resorts, and paddle boarding.
