SKIP THIS GARBAGE!

TL;DR: The game is just a Unity asset flip and is essentially worse than free flash games. My playtime was mostly afk and only cus I wanted to get all achievements.

There isn't much of anything that is worthwhile with this game. A lot of people have gotten this game for free but honestly I'd say that they still got scammed just because of how much of a waste of time this game is. I'll start with the good of which there is very little: the music and car variety* (visually). The music in the game is exclusively Eurobeat tracks that I believe were probably just downloaded and slapped onto the game as, no offense but I highly doubt the developer has acquired licensing rights to these songs. In the game there are 52 free cars and 12 paid DLC cars for a total of 64. The majority of these seem to be ripped online with no credit given anywhere that I could find within the game, in regards to their origin. There are 3 cases in which you have the option to use the same car except it's customised: The S13 base and with a bodykit + Sil80 variant. The other is the AE86 being offered three separate times with very minimal changes. There is also one good background which is.. again, not owned by developer but can be found here.
The other backgrounds are pretty ugly in my opinion and the emoticons are eh. That's all the "good" from the game.
Upon starting the game you're greeted with your screen going black which would normally indicate that you're going into a full screen application however.. nope. Game's pulled a fast one on ya buddy, pick some options from a tiny pre-game launcher which has a locked screen size. From there after you choose from your limited tweaking options, you get into the game and are greeted by... a mobile game style main menu. Ignoring that aspect, you have the two gamemodes that game offers which are singleplayer and multiplayer, a basic options menu which provides barely anything more than the launcher from earlier (no rebinding the controls for example nor telling you what all of them are), the wonky statistics menu that's tracking your playtime only while you're in a race and the now new as of writing option that is "Gift" wherein the developer begs you to follow their developer page on Steam and to wishlist their game Akina (don't.) while offering you some "free rewards", one of which is basically a reskin of a car that already exists twice and the other a BMW E30.

Do not be fooled by my hours on this game, the majority of them were AFKing in a race and not active play due to the way that the game's logic works. I made the mistake of getting an achievement in it not realising the type of commitment I'd need to make in order to 100% this garbage game which is, quite literally, just a bunch of stolen assets that this game dev has used previously and has later reused again. This game is not good and it's not even properly done to follow it's own game logic. There are only two maps in which hitting the walls causes you to lose your score. One of the achievements wasn't even possible as far as I'm aware until a map was added far later on. Skip this garbage.

It was all fun and games until BowieKnife99 showed up...then it became personal.

You get what you pay for and I paid nothing for this game.

The handling here is really bad. The tires slide like they are covered in butter, n the car spins out hard if u turn just a little. It does not feel like driving a car at all and it is more like moving a slippery soap on the bathroom floor.

All of this guy's games are just ♥♥♥♥♥♥ asset flips.
Not even worth 2€, since everything this dev actually did himself sucks.

BTW his only review that was banned by steam was posted for this game less than 24h after release in early access... yes, an early access for an asset flip. You can't make this ♥♥♥♥ up lmao.

is this game about drifting? yes. does this game do well for a drifting game? kinda yeah? game is pretty fun and also cheap. the developers have made multiple initial d fan games and this one just feels like it was made without love. honestly the DLC's feel like a cash grab. the graphics aren't great and most assets are probably taken from they're other games. if u want a more fun initial d fangame then try "initial drift online" it is by the same devs, but it's just wayyyy better. but just a heads up, this game does drifting better then initial drift online. games aight, can't complain too much since i got it for free :0

How is this game even legal? There's stolen assets from other games, non-licensed Eurobeat music from AVEX Media and even voice clips from Initial-D itsel???

30 min into this game and the controllers feel really static, driving mechanic could have been better optimized overal.
Great music and fun if you just want to chill, but not a game I would spend a lot of hours in.
I understand why the base game itself it's free.

The driving mechanics feel great once you get the hang of them, rewarding and surprisingly deep for an arcade title. Most maps look solid and the random bots roaming around are a fun touch, but the drift scoring system is inconsistent across maps and the exhaust pop sound is genuinely annoying. Good pick for casual sessions or playing with friends, just don't expect it to replace your main racing game.
