In Vol.173, the line of the leg reads almost as drawing — a continuous curve from hip to hem, rendered in the soft gradients of black-and-white photography. Sakuramakoto Kichijoji composes each image so that this linear quality is foregrounded, making the leg itself the primary graphic event.
