I don't think they needed some outsider to do that for them, some of the best crackers and reverse engineers in the world work for for Denuvo (supposedly).

The fact they have not already fixed it or made it harder to crack most likely means they either can't for whatever reason or it's too expensive to be worth it. This also goes for HV bypass.
