A huge part of the problem with KIA is that the admins are hungry to delete it entirely, so the mods had to clamp down HARD on any content that could get it nuked. I don't know if that's still the case, but you couldn't even bring up the trans topic because any comment about it could be used as an excuse to kill the entire sub by the admins. So, the mods just made a blanket rule that you're not allowed to discuss it at all, with any comments that even hint at the topic getting removed. This started around the same time they started nuking every non-left sub from the platform (Social Justice in Action, for example). It's hard to say the mods were wrong to do it, as if they hadn't it's almost a guarantee the sub would be gone now, but it does beg the question of if that level of moderation is still necessary.

There was recently an alternative Warhammer 40k sub called HorusGalaxy that suffered this fate. Eventually even with the mods complying the admins demodded them all, then said they could delete the sub because it had no moderation.

The trans topic ban was fine. A lot of good subs got banned during peak trans activism, and I hope none of us let Reddit try to memory hole that when the dust finally settles. 

But I'm talking about genuine GG topics being deleted. What I've found is that they created so many blanket rules that basically ANY thread could break a rule. 

Like a majority of GG drama comes from Twitter. They made a "no online drama" rule. That's like most of GG.

Once a sub gets big enough and gets the attention of lefts, they will do everything they can to get the sub banned. The admins are also on their side so you can never win.

Same happened to me if you massage the mod with a bit of an explanation he will cancel the automated ban.

But then advise you not to massage on gcj again or it might trigger the automated banning system.

KiA ain’t a ghost town so much as posts are just constantly getting deleted or removed by mods (largely atm one mod in particular who swears he’s not a reddit plant).

The majority of the user base there are fed up with it. Call it out and even downvote the mods when they remove comments or posts. But sadly most users don’t feel like they have anywhere else to really go and despite what they’ll say. The mod team is compromised but it’s still the best people can hope for given that it’s reddit.

Honestly, i just left it because people sounded like crazed feminist with the opposite sign.

Everything was always some form of messaging, there was always an intention or conspiracy behind something... It just got too tiering to listen to the hypocrisy..

So I left and haven't looked back.

A rage bait machine sub which post random Tweets from people that are irrelevant but gets this sub really riled up.

They want to make that sub a place for conversation and less of a place for people who just wake up looking for shit to be pissed off about

I gave up right around when they were furious that Kingdom Come 2 added a gay romance option. It was completely skippable. But they would not shut up about it.
