When pushing CTRL+A, no text is selected, so every field has to be copied separately. I am not sure if this is a bug or deliberate.

Is there any way to copy the entire text from the certificate viewer?

In my phone I discover a bunch of interesting stuff, which I open in firefox mobile and exit the app. I later bulk send all those tabs by selecting it all and sending to my pc.

Now from Firefox Mobile 147 onwards, that button went away. It is a tiring task to manually click all those 40-50 tabs and send to pc.

Can we have that button back please Mozilla?

I'm seeing some strange behavior in using Firefox to write and publish a post. It's causing 2 problems:

1. after uploading an image, I try to insert it in a post. Nothing happens. But if I manually add the image URL & create the code to display it, it displays in the post properly.

2. I edit a post, add material to it, and click on Update. The content isn't updated and instead of responding by returning to the edit post page, it opens the homepage.

None of this happens if I do the same things in Chrome. What sort of conflict with Firefox or an add-on could cause this? Anyone using Wordpress and having this or similar problems?

I just have discovered that something enabled (some) telemetry in firefox again. I can't think of anything that could have caused this other than I enabled nova in about:config to check it out and then disable again. I use "user.js" and with some other curated options to mitigate tracking so I take this kind of things seriously.

I would recomed you to check your telemetry options and report if they have changed.

Hi guys, do you know of a Firefox extension that lets you save tab groups? I've been using Session Sync for a while, and it works well, but it doesn't save my tab groups, so if I restore them, I have to regroup them again.

I'm trying to revive an old netbook with an Intel Atom N450 and 2GB of RAM (that I have upgraded from 1GB). Firefox is... usable, but pretty sluggish without even a single website open. Are there any forks I can switch to or settings I can tweak to make at least the Firefox UI a bit more responsive?

I recently came across the Firefox free VPN and I am curious if a decent section of users do use it? I know people use paid VPNs to be secure but what about the free VPNs?

I just transferred from chrome and the autofill seems to be very inconsistent. Some sites will autofill (like reddit from "red") but most websites won't autofill from bookmarks or history. Is there a setting I changed by accident maybe?

I'm trying to use Firefox on Android as my main browser, but I can't get any pw manager to actually show autofill or autosave prompts. I've tested both Bitwarden and Proton Pass, and the result is the same: nothing appears.

When I tap a login field, no inline suggestion pops up. No dropdown, no floating bubble, no prompt to save a new password after logging in or signing up. It's as if the password manager isn't even connected to Firefox.

For comparison, Chrome with Google pw manager works flawlessly, autofill immediately appears and saves new credentials without me doing anything.

However, none of the manipulations within userChrome.css have worked. Button is still there, button still can be clicked. userChrome.css itself is being loaded and can hide, for example, close button.

How is it that Firefox can be the best browser in the world but cap out at 7.5G for speedtests using modern hardware (Apple Silicon M4 Max with 64GB of memory).

I know it's just a speedtest, but one would think it could keep up with 10G.

#rantover -- I love Firefox. Just hate how Chrome excels at speedtests. Not a major problem, but annoying.

Why, when I highlight a word and right click in this browser, does it still say "Search Google" instead of "Search Firefox"? I've already made Firefox my default browser, so what gives?

Just noticed even the search bar search has no option for Firefox-- what the hell!! Is Firefox even a real browser or is it just a skin for Google?

So now I have to manually select DuckDuckGo (which I'd rather not use because they also force AI on you) every time I want to search something via the search bar?

Are there ANY browsers that don't have AI embedded in them?

After the update to either 151 or 151.0.1, I'm observing that shortly after launching Firefox (roughly 40 seconds), my cursor indicates that something is loading, with the spinning progress indicator. A quick glance at the task manager shows that a Crashreporter.exe process runs briefly, then terminates. A glance at the properties and file location shows that it is the actual Firefox crash reporter file in Program Files\Mozilla Firefox. I'm able to consistently replicate this behavior with every launch of the browser, including in troubleshooting mode.

Curious if anyone else has seen or can confirm this behavior and may know why it's happening now. There was a post about someone experiencing something similar with the cursor indicating loading while using Firefox, but the post was deleted without much discussion occurring.

When I'm on Google now, I don't see the url in the address bar.

Sometimes there's a button with a globe to show the url, sometimes there isn't. I don't know when.

I always want to see the url.

The background was so clean until today. Anyway I can get rid of the "Firefox" logo and title? I like it fully clean.

Saw this article about Project Nova and I thought 'cool! A way to turn off AI in my browser!' - I clicked through and the post on Mozilla says settings will have 'controls for turning off AI features entirely'.

But what exactly does that mean? What 'features' will get turned off?

I've been seeing a lot of hate for it on Reddit, but I honestly think that it looks so much better.

I have the shorts & news enabled on Firefox, and it used to be so annoying because it would look so sloppy and square-ish... almost like Microsoft Edge.

But now the news are much cleaner, I think the shortcuts got smaller too, and the whole browser now has this "rounded corners" theme, which I love.

The main reason why I like it so much is because the old UI just didn't match anything on my computer. All my apps have rounded corners and a minimalistic UI, and recently websites started implementing rounded corners too. Not to mention that most app logos are becoming minimalistic too.

But now everything on my PC is nice and minimalistic, all my programs match, and everything looks so clean.

When I brows using a private window the cookies from the private browsing are saved on the main as if I used a normal window. It's a pain to have to manually delete them every time.

Using Waterfox 6.6.12 (64-bit).

Before Quantum redesign, you could use an addon to have bookmarks with icons only on the toolbar, so you could fit like a hundred of them there, while still being able to display both title and URL on hover.

Quantum redesign destroyed that.
Now the only way to display icons only is to remove bookmark titles.

Can we get this ability back now?

Some people can't figure out why someone would need bookmark titles - some URLs aren't descriptive, like containing only numeric id, or a bunch of parameters, while the title tells you exactly what the page is.
How are you going to differentiate something like example.com/1egwe7 and example.com/2dfgh5 when you need to know what the actual page is, not just the domain?

Let's say you bookmarked a bunch of Youtube videos, now you have many bookmarks like:

can you name what the video is without opening the page and checking?

Does anyone know if there's any work being done on improving page translation in Firefox? I haven't seen any news about it lately, and I'm really interested in a Polish translation. I know there's a local translation on PC, but it's very mediocre, so I use an add-on to use Google Translate. However, on iOS, there's no Polish translation at all, and I wonder if it will be available anytime soon.

I'd just like to know if theres anything it misses that Id have to make sure to get myself and switch it over. RIP uBlock on chrome. Thanks!

Been with Firefox for over 20years, won't say love and hate relationship, but I surely don't necessarily agree with all the "unwanted" cosmetic changes. But I also get used to some, reluctantly.

So few years back, while working at a large corporation, I requested Firefox from IT. They blatantly said NO and asked me to use Edge or Chrome.

I wasn't the faint hearted kind, so I found a way to get Firefox portable and even played with Zen and Brave. Of course, these browsers were not managed and I was able to install plugins, disable Java script and whatnot.

Then IT caught up and sent me a long email stating I'm not authorized to use these browsers. Worst, they copied my manager. F em.

Discussion point: What Mozilla can do to ensure large corporations include Firefox as a supported browser in their kitty. If they can support Chrome, they surely can Firefox.

I found several threads here about creating your own extension and uploading it to Mozilla for personal use and not redistribution, but none of them tell you what to do after your extension has successfully passed review. I would like to install the extension that I created (and can see in the "My Add-ons" area of mozilla.org), but I have no idea how to do that. Do any of you have any experience with this? Thanks.

I recently moved from nightly to stable. I wonder when the feature that shows pinned short​cuts when the URL bar is coming to stable?

All that I could find is Mozilla technically can see your IP address as you connect to the VPN, and some non-identifiable technical data collection. Is there anything I should be worried about besides maybe some IP collection?

I generally trust Mozilla with being able to see or even collecting my IP address, since I can mostly be sure they're not selling it anywhere, but its still something to think about. Also, if it matters, I'm talking about the free version of the VPN built into Firefox

I read that Firefox started the initiative but then it was handed over to the linux foundation. Is there any idea when it might reach maturity or if Mozilla is replacing parts of gecko with servo overtime or if they still have interest in using it?

I just started using firefox a week ago, and one of the worst problem's I've experienced so far is how sometimes whenever I play a video, the audio just doesn't play at all. Even if it does play initially if I skip forward to any point of the video, it can freeze. The only way to fix this is to disconnect and reconnect my bluetooth speaker.

Some relevant specs:
AMD Ryzen 5 5600
Intel Arc B580

Its just I love pinning tabs and starts to get long. I could have a row for pinned tabs and the other for other tabs for example so my pinned tabs dont occupy half the bar. Yeah pinned tabs are useful and actually helps you dont forget about stuff. And personally Groups are not smooth to use at all.

Is there something in about:config that can get the logo higher up on the homepage page? Thanks.

Every few days it turns off "open links in private tabs" function and it pisses me off insanely. Someone knows how to make it not do that?

Seems the newest build doesn't like YouTube and maybe other video sites, but I didn't check that.

Downgraded to an earlier version and everything works fine.

On paper, it will seem as if it may not be much, however. It's a very big amount for a web app to get; it has picked up a Huge following as a web app for a web app, not every web app. Would get as much as 50k. Especially now, in a time when most will be using a tablet/phone far more than a computer, 50k is perfectly good as a number; it's in the thousands range and is even half of 100k, which obviously is a very high amount. My wish/dream, no, my fan requests, are to see this web app level up/grow one day to see big brands. Since the latest update, I've been unable to enter in my bank account. It keeps loading and loading, but it never opens.

It works perfectly fine on other browsers and even in my other computer using Firefox; so it's got to be something with my main PC copy. Tried disabling extensions, tried using another profile, but the problem persists.

The reason I'm seeking help here instead of with my bank is because they are ungodly stupid about computers and will probably tell me to "fOrmAt my pC".

Following the latest Firefox update, it seems though the clear site data control within the SSL section is no longer usable, it's grayed out. Am I missing anything ?

Firefox on my computers recently started giving Captchas on the first Google Search of every session, sometime within the last week. I’m wondering if this is a new issue and if someone can help.

Testing:

* This doesn’t happen on Safari or Chrome, with or without private browsing and privacy extensions
* This happens on multiple Macs with different settings, but not Windows
* still occurs with privacy plugins disabled

Details:

* Firefox 151
* All extensions disabled
* Happens with strict or balanced protection
* Happens if I add Google as an exception to protection

I’m guessing something new has happened recently? Nothing new has been added to my network, all IoT devices are jailed and have limited traffic on my network, and Google is the only thing experiencing this — solely on Firefox.

Any help, input, or feedback here would be appreciated!

Update: I think this is a Firefox on Mac issue, because:

* this happens on my work computer, which has a fresh Firefox instance (means it’s not a computer or extension issue)

* this does NOT happen on Windows, even if I spoof a Firefox user agent (means Mac/Firefox agents aren’t somehow blackballed by Google on my network)

* this happens if not on my home network with a fresh instance on my work laptop (I tethered through my mobile network)

Often, my CPU will peg out. The culprit, according to my Process Explorer systray icon, is Firefox. When I go to Firefox and open Process Manager (Shift+Esc), it shows the main "Firefox" entry as something very high, such as 80% or more. However, it then immediately drops down to something like 10%. Every. Single. Time. Furthermore, if I stay on the Process Manager tab, it will remain low. Sometimes, when I switch to another tab, it re-spikes.

Is there a way to find out what's causing this surge of processing? Like, is it a pinned tab, an extension, the chrome, or whatever? I'd greatly appreciate any help on this!

I like to middle mouse click the links in order to open them in new tabs sometimes and still keep reading what I'm reading. However, Firefox default behaviour is opposite to what I'd like. If I middle click 1,2,3, Link One's tab will be sitting closest to my current tab and link three's will be furthest from the original tab. I want the opposite behaviour because I opened link 3 closer in time and link 1 older in time.

It also seems to track "tab tree" behaviour so tabs don't always open at the very end but open at the end of whatever Firefox think is the tree, so maybe they open in the middle of FUCKING NOWHERE or maybe they don't and it's inconsisten and it drives me mad.

Every time I close firefox even for a sec the page refresh automatically. I tried this thing in chrome also but page doesn't refresh. Is there any solution for this

When browsing Reddit with Firefox Android, after tapping into a post, I can use Back button (or gesture) to go back to previous page (the list of posts) at where I were.

But when doing the same in Firefox Windows, it refreshes the list of posts, and I lose where I were. Why, and is there a way to change this behavior?

I have a problem with firefox. When I log in Linkedin, where my password is saved, I get a code sent to my phone. Its ok once but not for every log in. I did tick the box to remember my device but it seems Firefox prevents Linkdin from that remembering.

I did some stuff to firefox because I got unwanted notifications and don t know what setting I changed that now makes my access to websites super secure.

Anyone an Idea ?
