The past few weeks has been filled with WAY more eating out than I normally do. Basically, my parents visited for several days and we stayed at disney, I celebrated my graduation and my bfs birthday. So quite a few occasions and excuses to not cook. I thought I would share some of the meals i had, especially because ordering a balanced meal as a vegetarian can be tricky. I was excited many of the options in Disney had vegetarian accommodations that weren’t just a salad, including tofu stir fry, pasta with plant based meat sauce (not pictured) and delicious veggie pastas. I was also super hyped to find a local hotdog spot that sells veggie dogs!

I also wanted to post this to show that I try not to restrict myself as well. I work hard in the gym so I can enjoy the desserts I love! While many of my meals I cook are high protein with lots of fiber and shi, I also can’t turn down ice cream like ever. Maybe that’s why I feel like I haven’t made any crazy progress or “cuts” in the past year or two but I’d rather be happy maintaining where I’m at then limiting myself from something I enjoy :)

so I haven’t been rly posting on here other than stories of the meals I’ve been cooking but don’t worry I been cooking in the gym too 👩🏻‍🍳💪🏻🏋🏻‍♀️

I genuinely just haven’t felt like taking pump pics after my lifts and that’s ok, but here’s a few I did take over the past month ish. Plus some bonus pics at the end of my back looking ripped in a cute going out top 😏 however we are NOT going to talk about how my right arm is clearly more built…. Shhhhh

today’s lift: chest shoulders and tris

when I cook I rarely measure I just kinda go off vibes but this is how I make my green pasta (in my last post I said I was gonna do my chipotle bowl butttttt I totally lied sorry) !! It’s high protein low cal and genuinely really good. With the portions I made in this I have enough for two servings. This is a vegetarian recipe but can easily be made vegan as well! If I happen to have it in the fridge I’ll sub soy milk for milk.

-I begin by bowling water for whatever pasta shape/type I wanna make (sometimes I do normal pasta, sometimes the carpe diem to prioritize low carb and sometimes protein pasta just depends on what I need that day)
-while the pasta is cooking I gather everything for the sauce that I just mix in the blender
-I combine cashews pine nuts spinach garlic cloves mozerella ricotta low fat Greek yogurt milk lemon juice and seasonings to taste (sometimes I add lots of fresh basil if I want more of a pesto vibe)
-then I begin to cook crumbled tofu that will blend in nicely with the pasta and sauce
-once the pasta is done I add it to the tofu and pour over the sauce
-I then shred fresh Parmesan and Monterey Jack cheese and mix that in
-I like to add sliced almonds to the pasta for some crunch
-I add more seasoning and fresh basil if necessary on top

unforch only got like 3 lifts per week the past two weeks due to having the heaviest load of homework and projects ever but I made it through and I have a lil bit of a break before i get slapped in the face wit work again 😅 here are some highlights from those lifts!!!

ps! Imma post a recipe for my chipotle bowl w sweet potatoes subbed for rice super soon! The best part of the recipe is u can easily switch out items for whatever veggies or protein u prefer 😛

I’d love to share more specifics on what goes into making my meals by doing lil cooking tutorials! Maybe it’ll give yall some ideas to try for urself especially if ur interested in eating more plant based 🌱

A huge reason I am fully vegetarian and make vegan substitutes is because of ethics. Genuinely, I don’t crave meat anymore with all of the amazing alternatives I’ve found in the past (almost) year of being vegetarian. But not only do I do it as a stand against animal abuse but also because animal agriculture is one of the number one contributors to climate change and water usage (even more so than AI). One of the biggest ways you can reduce your carbon footprint is focusing on a plant diet!

Even if you don’t think you could ever be vegan or vegetarian, there are so many ways to reduce your animal product consumption and making the switches where you can is always better than the status quo!

Challenge yourself because even just 2 years ago I don’t think I’d be where I am now, I never thought I could give up chicken tbh. But here I am!! And I can’t lie impossible nuggets are delicious 🤤

been a bit mia recently but I’ve just been so busy with school, research, and work. genuinely not sure how I’m managing but I’m still getting in 4 lifts a week which is keeping me sane!

anyways here are all my pumps and fits from this past week, honestly got some rly sick pics but didn’t get the chance to go through them until now 🤩 enjoy!

Here’s what a glute and ham sesh looks like for me:
-warm up with stretching and hip mobility exercises
-quick 2.5-5 min on the stair stepper, again just to warm up my glutes I don’t want to be doing anything super intense before a big movement
-hip thrusts! typically 3 sets, first at lighter weight to establish good form and mind muscle connection. The rest I go up in weight till failure
-Barbell RDLs! 3 sets all till failure at heavy weight, will go up on last set if my reps r higher during first two
-Hip Abductors! 2-3 sets at heavy weight, I rly focus on slowing down during this movement so I can feel the upper glute activation
-leg curls! 2-3 sets of these, by now I’m def tired so I try to go heavy per usual but it’s hard for me to hit any kind of PR weight like I can on hip thrusts or RDLs at the start
-calf raises, with weight. I do these to end every leg sesh cuz my calf’s r seriously lacking and I never gave them attention until the past couple months tbh

You don’t need to do 6+ exercises to get a good leg day in, I just have 4 main ones targeting my glutes and hams. I change the number of set and weight just based on time for the day. I have a diff routine for quad focused leg days I can share in another post
