Hi there,
According to the patch that was released today, the steering Sensitivity was changed to a speed dependent sensitivity
I haven't noticed any differenxe except that the steering wheel reset takes much longer during lower speeds.
But the main problem still remains:
As soon as you get to 40km/h or above it's impossible to make small corrections to the steering. It's wayyyyy to sensitive + the initial deadzone is way too high.
So finding the sweet spot to drive longer turns in a realistic way is basically impossible
I don't understand why it's such a big deal
And unfortunately it's somehow game breaking because like 99% of the time you are operating/driving vehicles in this game and it's just sad that you can't properly drive with a gamepad
Maybe give us more settings.. Especially deadzone settings are absolutely necessary.
A smaller deadzone would allow more precise steering.. Just saying
Otherwise, great game!

Re: Steering Sensitivity Gamepad/Controller
ya know, I didnt have any issues using my xbox controller before the patch while driving, yea it was a little difficult to make small corrections at high speeds, but thats normal in farm sim since 19, so i'm used to that... but now the reset to center is taking an eternity compared to what it was pre-patch. the vehicles at all speeds are now almost undriveable. theyre slow to respond at any speed to adjustment and when you center the stick on the controller, its taking far too long to recenter... can we get an option where we can adjust these speeds on our own in the menus to tailor it to how we, the user, would like to have it?
thanks for the patch but, wow i've never ran into so many things so quickly in my entire gaming experience from 19 to 25 (roughly 3000 hrs) and its getting to be a pain
EDIT: Thank you Dear Lord for giving DJGOHAM the foresight to mention there were settings we can adjust in the game. Load your save, go into your General Settings while in the save, scroll down to INPUT CONTROLS, Steering Back-100%, Steering Sensativity-200% should get you back to what we had prepatch, or close enough you wont notice...
OP, try fiddling with those? Also your deadzone settings are in the OPTIONS at the main menu, default is 14%

Re: Steering Sensitivity Gamepad/Controller
The adaptive steering is better than before but would be nice to be able to adjust it.
Just hope "REALISTIC STEERING" mod in FS22 comes to FS25. Made driving so much more enjoyable with controller at higher and lower speeds.
The new patch changed Steer back speed to be way too slow, even at max settings 100% so you just keep turning when u want to go straight
