History randomly not logged
I signed into Chrome on a different computer and had this extension installed.
I did a google search on each computer to see if it would show up in History Trends Unlimited. But for some reason for those google searches, each search only showed up on its own History Trends Unlimited. I saw both searches in my own Chrome history for both computers though.
It seemed to start working now though as I did the same thing again and it worked (not sure if it had to do with disabling and enabling the extension

The search.html page was renamed to history.html. Are you opening HTU by clicking its icon, or some other way? Note that HTU is not currently supported in Firefox. Also, you can use the the 3-dots menu on this page to post a reply to this topic, instead of opening a new issue.

Not finding the file on any browser
It did find it in Chrome and updated, but as soon as I tried to access it again, it didn't find it.
I did have a shutdown overnight due to 0% battery, though.

Record only specified website's history
Please make it possible to record browsing histories of only specified websites,
and to export history about a specific site would be nice too...

It is currently possible to export history for a specific site. Do an Advanced Search for a specific domain, then click "Export These Results".

Support searching Chinese/Japanese/Korean (CJK) text without spaces
Hi! Thanks for building this history search extension. I ran into a usability issue that affects languages like Chinese and also Japanese/Korean : the current search seems to work mainly on space-separated tokens. This is fine for English, but CJK text typically has no spaces, so many queries fail to match or match inconsistently.

I've gotten a few other reports about this in recent years. I'm planning to address it in the next major release. It will require users to re-index their history, which is inconvenient, but necessary. My plan is to fix a couple of other long-standing issues that also require a re-index at the same time.

That is most likely an issue with the browser, not HTU.

The latest version of the extension (1.8.6) has support for i18n. All that's needed now are translations. If you'd like to help translate to a language, please email me.

I plan to improve searching so it works better with languages that don't use whitespace. If I were to add general i18n to the extension, it would require constant feedback from translators, because the text in the extension changes with nearly every update. I'm not opposed to doing it, though.

Editing
Dear Ralph,
Is it possible to edit now and then (NOT often) a tab line in HTU? For instance with a work-around. An example: it would be nice to be able to add a tag about the content of the Quora-item in the HTU-Search. See this uploaded screenshot (= link to my Google Drive): https://drive.google.com/file/d/1vH2KqH25DJlvKt-AhloreN8NtdfuUZCF/view?usp=sharing
Now I have only "Quora" as a mention... 3 times: which one is about "Putin" and "Krieg verlieren"? I have to open them all three to know this. I understand that this vagueness is caused by this blog Quora itself.
Regards, Robin

History Erased?
Hi, I've been able to store and view data back to two years ago but all of that got erased. Not sure what happened. I still have most of the backups since I started using but it will be a hassle to import them all again. Is there a way to revert back to how it was before? Thanks

For why your history disappeared, see FAQ #13 at https://sites.google.com/view/history-trends-unlimited/faq. Also see FAQ #16 for a way to combine all your backups into one file for easy importing.

Option to import HTU history into Chrome
I've backups from HTU, but have to reset Chrome once in a while due to unrelated problems. It would be nice if we could import HTU into Chrome history.

There's not a good way to do this. I feel like it's a bit out of scope for HTU as well.
