Hi Image-Line!
Before I start, I’m using FL Studio 12.2 (Build 3) 32-bit & 64-bit, and I have a problem with an external plugin pack from Waldorf (www.waldorf-music.info) called Waldorf Edition 2, which contained PPG Wave 2 (wavetable synth), Attack (drum synth) and D-Pole (filter).
So..
Today I responded to an offer from Native Instrument, who sold Waldorf Edition 2. Did not really understand it wasn’t an NI product, and since I have good experience with NI lately (had some issues in the past though), I bought the plugin set, and tried to install it, but had and have a number off issues:
1. Installed the pack, both the 32 & 64-bit plugins as VST3 plug-ins.
2. Started FL Studio 32-bit, searched for and activated the plug-ins (there was question marks after bits and type though).
3. Started the plug-ins, but they seemed detached. They would have their own window, and in the channel rack there would appear an empty sample channel. Neither PPG Wave or Attack would respond to MIDI, the sequencer would not see the new plugin, but the empty sample channels, never got around to testing D-Pole. Both PPG Wave and Attack makes sound from their panels though.
4. Closed down FL Studio and uninstalled the new plug-ins.
5. Fired up FL Studio 32-bit and refreshed the plug-ins list. The plug-ins where gone from the plugin manager but still appeared in the ADD menu. Trying to start them resulted in the ”missing plug-in dialog”. But an empty window appear alongside the same empty sampler channel.
6. Closed down FL Studio and restarted the laptop.
7. Installed the same plug-in pack as 32 & 64-bit VST2.
8. Started FL Studio 32-bit and used the plugin manager to activate the newly installed plugins.
9. Only PPG Wave 2 appears, as this has a new name, different from the VST3 name. It will start, the other plug-ins wont.
10. When sequencing the PPG Wave 2 VST2 plug-in, it drops notes and sometimes they wont turn off.
11. Turned off FL Studio and uninstalled the VST2 version as well.
12. Now when I start up FL Studio, 32 or 64-bit version, the ADD → Channel list contains Attack, D-Pole, PPG2 and PPG Wave 2.V. The first three start the weird detached window and an empty sampler channel, but of course not the plug-ins. The last one fires upp the normal missing plug-ins channel. The ADD → Effects list only contains Attack, D-Pole and PPG2. All fires up missing effects boxes. No amount of refreshing the plug-in list in the plug-in manager seem to help.
Please help!
Ideally I would like the plugins to work, starting and not loosing notes, but I’ll settle for just getting the shit off my computer…
