This lovely lady is Alberta. She is 109 years old and is totally deaf. She is a resident of an assisted living home here in Yuma. Every Tuesday and Thursday, we play BINGO at the home. I say we, because I am there every Tuesday because I volunteer to call bingo for the residents. When I first started, she would not say a word. Now, I show her the card with the number on it and she repeats it out loud, I even have her shouting BINGO when she wins. Alberta is very special and I look forward to seeing her each week. She keeps me young and going.
