Hello,

For date of your account created, if you still have access to your account via your mobile, backup mails or mail clients such as Outlook or Thunderbird or mobile mail clients such as Gmail app, iOS mail app on iPad or iPhone, Android native mail clients, etc, try to check the first day you received mail. It might be the day you created the account.

You may also check email in your recovery email address. There might an email from Gmail when you added your recovery email address to the account that you need to recover.

Alternatively, if you still have access via web browser, you may go to your account settings --> forwarding and POP/IMAP, in the POP status, there is a date. Normally, that is also the date your account was created.

I have several accounts and the POP date is wrong on all of them. Only for the most recent account I created was I lucky enough not to delete that welcome email. After having gone through the google recovery process, which I have to describe as nothing less than traumatic, I am warning all viewers of this blog not to put any important information on a google account for the following reasons:

1) Google does not support account recovery.
2) Google account security relies 100% on an AI that is flawed and has no common sense. The google security AI will shut down your account randomly whenever you move (change IP address), get a new device, get a new job, etc.
3) All the recovery data you have, including current and past passwords will have no weight compared to the all important question - what was the exact day you started your google account?
4) Google does not provide you with any solid way of knowing that precise day you started your account.
5) Even if you know your password and provided a recovery email and a recovery phone and have validated your account through all those methods, if you do not provide the exact day you started your account the google AI will not give you your account back.
6) You cannot talk to a live human being about losing all your data because you accidentally tripped an AI alert by moving / changing jobs.
7) When google asks you "Someone logged into your account from a new device, is that really you?" you have no way of saying 'yes'. You can only report a fraud. If you look at that email it will trip the AI and might shut down your account even if you have the password and recovery information.
8) Google has TONS of your private information and it sells it without scruple every day but it claims that the only piece of information that they know about you is the date that you started your account.
9) Search the web, there is no sure way of finding the start date. The POP method only works if you decided to forward mail on the date you created your account. How many of us did that?
10) Google gives you 15GB of space for free. If you have ever gotten close to using that up, you probably erased old emails to save space - and you probably erased that welcome email.
11) Now you are sunk and all your data is gone and Google does not care. NEVER PUT IMPORTANT DATA ON A GOOGLE ACCOUNT. THERE IS NO WAY TO RECOVER IT.
12) Google claims to put a high value on data security but how secure is my data if it can all be taken away from me without any chance to recover it unless I know the exact date that I started my account BUT GOOGLE REFUSES TO GIVE ME ACCESS TO THE ONLY PIECE OF INFORMATION THAT IT RELIES ON FOR ACCOUNT SECURITY!

I am also looking for this information, but the POP Mail settings have no date at all. I created this account back when Gmail was invite-only, and I don't have the welcome email. Any other ideas?

I am not able to change my password, even though i have access to my email on my phone and computer.  I tried adding the Pop status date in the recovery process to no avail.  I have 2-factor authentication turned on, so between my two devices, this should be enough to change my password.  I have had this account for as long as I can remember and now cannot even maintain the account.  Google support is not even available to help.  Gmail sucks now and I will have to move to another provider.

If you FULL access to your account then just do a download of your account data... Once its ready and you've downloaded the zip file... Before extracting the zips first scroll to very bottom and click on the file called index.html ...  It tells in there what your creation date was... Good luck.
