can i use it just to clean and repair windows
I found out I got hit with an infostealer this morning. I already changed my passwords on every account I’m worried about, I really don’t want to lose my personal files and do a complete windows reinstall. I found tron and I’m wondering if that could be enough to get rid of the infostealer without needing to do a reinstall
I have an SSD partitioned between windows and Linux, and I want to run Tron on the windows. Will it touch my linux files?
Fixes that I have tried:
-
My account is an admin. Still, made another admin account with all the privileges but still got the error. (Through CMD)
-
Tried “
sfc /scannow”, “dism /online /cleanup-image /scanhealth” and “dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth”. I got a few corrupt files, DISM fixed all of them and the last SFC scan came out clean but Tron still didn't work. -
Tried “
winmgmt /verifyRepository" and "winmgmt /resetRepository"to repair the WMI repository manually. -
Neither Safe mode nor safe mode with networking made a difference.
-
Ran
tron.batas an administrator, didn't work. Launched CMD as admin and ran Tron through there, didn't work. Created a shortcut of thetron.batfile and checked “run this program as administrator” and tried, didn't work. -
Tried literally skipping the “Fix WMI” part with CTRL + C but that DIDN'T WORK EITHER.
In the end I launched all the stages manually through the resources folder, but I didn't feel satisfied. It bugs me that WMI didn't work. But the problem is that I truly can't reset my laptop right now. Is there ANYTHING I can do ?
just what the title says i m unfamiliar with tron just saw it in a vid and i NEED this
I want to remove all gacha crap games by Tron if it's possible, I don't want to see these trashcan games on my pc at all.
Many antiviruses automatically flag edited hosts files because of host file hijacks. Would I need to back up my current heavily edited hosts file before running it?
I got a session stealer virus and after running malware bytes it seemed gone but then it warned me about powershell trying to access a cloud serve (tracked the ip location) but it couldn’t find what’s was running powershell and I decided to give tron a try and it found one trojan and after tron finished within a hour and I rebooted my pc powershell stopped popping up on boot
I've used tron in the past. It worked great. Now, when I try to download the newer version I get this error: virus detected. I'm not sure what's going on. Can anyone help me out?
Side note: I did recently remove a PUP that hijacked my search engine and pseudo yahoo engine. I've removed it via malwarebytes...
Can I go and just run the disinfect scribt if just looking to remove viruses? Or should I run step 0
Scribt then dissenfect? My computer doesn’t have problems other than some recent malware and virus that my kid downloaded recently.
So what happens when you run tron scribt and then 30 days trial ends for some of the software ends. Like hitman pro or malwarebytes. Will it just skip these steps since the free trial ended thirty days after running tron scribt. Just curious what happens and if still works or just a one time use?
I know it probably needs kernel level access to clear some of the stuff and I already allowed it via MS defender, but the only other time I've gotten an actual "Malicious File" warning was when I almost got rootkitted lol. Just want to make sure it isn't just me and I didn't somehow get a bad file
My power got cut off during process and tron was running, what do i do?
So I keep seeing posts about failures and issues using Tron, and wanted to let the community know that it does work, and if you follow the readme instructions and put effort into learning what you do and do not want to run on your computer, it works completely as intended.
I am on a machine that is more or less fresh (It's maybe a year old, its current windows installation dates 6 months I believe) and I recently started having issues with my ISP "quarantining" my device for having too many domain connections (essentially, thousands of attempted connections a second). I chalk up the acquisition of whatever this was to my crippling indie game addiction, as I've downloaded from many a sketchy mediafire link and gamebanana mirror.
I used wireshark to figure out wtf was going on, and in the split second I was able to log back on, my computer immediately attempted to send a gazillion packets to a few random .uk (I'm American) domains like 10000 times, which prompted my computer to immediately be quarantined again.
Because of this, I was basically stuck without internet for days especially because my ISP is shitty and offers no customer support. I decided that it was as good as any of a time to try the nuclear option, so I used a side machine to download Tron and ran it fully on my computer without internet.
And suffice to say... it worked! Some connectivity issues I'd had some days prior were completely gone, and I didn't get flagged again for sus web activity. Additionally, I notice that a lot of background processes from bloatware that came with my installations are gone. The only gripe I have is that it completely nuked my browser cookies, which honestly might be for the best. Otherwise, I'm not having any significant driver or app issues. Obviously I'll be tracking my social profiles and card accounts for a while, seeing as there was clearly something on my computer, and it is clearly dead now.
THANK YOU TRON!!!
Oh! Also forgot to mention, since my computer is pretty new and hasn't been heavily used, the defragmentation process only took about 20 minutes, which meant the whole script wrapped up in a little less than an hour for me.
tl;dr: It crippled my bloat, killed my cookies, fucked my wife, and saved my computer. YES ACTUALLY READ THE INSTRUCTIONS.
I only found two threads on this issue, but I’m having a problem where TronScript won’t stop disabling options through organization settings. I went through Group Policy Editor and removed everything from 32, and I have no idea what’s causing this. If anyone knows, I’d appreciate the help.
Edit: I should preface this by saying I’ve been an avid Tron user for almost three years, and this issue was always easy for me to resolve by disabling those settings. For some reason, that’s not working now. I’ve done this on various Windows 10 and 11 builds (this one is 11), and this PC had Tron run on it about half a year ago. Today I did an update/reset, so I had to rerun Tron on it, which led to this new issue.
SO hey, I just got to know about this script , through a Youtube video from Nico Knows Tech , so before i went on to go download it , just wanted to know :
-
is it still working and updated ?
-
Is it still affective ?
-
What can it cause - like any issue for my windows desktop if i run it?
-
how is it better than windows defender or malware byte !
-
anyone recently used it ? what are your thoughts.
This is gonna be a facepalm from everyone, essentially my pc has been a Lil f**ked for like a year now. I have been unable to use my xbox controller or wireless adapter. Like it just won't even detect any of it. Spent a long time trying to sort this out with no luck. I feel like the bloat removal messed me up somehow.
Anyway, tron didn't create a restore point. And iv tried everything from reg edit, to cab files, tinkering with service permissions.. all of it.
Is there a script I can run or something I can do before I nuke my pc with a factory reset?
More information about what Tron Script does.
Is that a problem?
I've been planning to run tron script but it makes me nervous if it'll delete my pirated games
Having this issue:
This app can't run on this device. Malwarebytes Anti-Malware
Windows 11 Home, Parallels Desktop 20, on MacBook Air M1
Tron v12.0.8
Not sure if it's relevant, but in summary, it says Windows 10 Home (ARM64)
Thanks for help!

Long story short, I checked my mail and there was a mail from riot games stating someone has logged in my Valorant account and was playing. I had it removed from my pc day before yesterday so I am not mistaken. I logged his @ss out and enabled 2fa.
Now I am worried that maybe my pc is compromised. I have McAfee (ik it's reputation but it came free with my new laptop). I am really careful about my downloaded files and all but still idk if someone has access to my pc. I wanted to ask should I use tron on my pc or not?
WMIC is not installed by default in WIN11.
At the moment the log just shows the standard commandline error message for missing programs and TronScript moves on withouth detecting the problem.
One can re-install WMIC on WIN11. TronScript should detect WMIC is missing and do an approrpriate action. Or switch to a different interface.
bcdedit.exe ist still existing in Win11 in c:\windows\system32. But when TronScript tries to execute it because 64 bit applications like cmd.exe can't call binaries from c:\windows\system32.
At the moment the log just shows the standard commandline error message for missing programs and TronScript moves on withouth detecting the problem.
TronScript should detect missing bcdedit.exe and do an appropriate action.
Hello, the tracker list is malformed. please ensure there is a blank line between trackers addresses.
also, here is a list of public trackers :
Thanks.
Okay so the process went pretty smoothly it ended with the green box and everything being clear and such I noticed that some of the settings now say managed by administrator could I get some help with this And before anyone ask, yes, I got it directly from the primary Reddit post and did the process as listed. Most of the process was automatic so there wasn't much to fail I'm just mildly concerned.
Hi i domt really dabble in this type of stuff but my pc has been running slower than normal for the past few months and i got recommended a video on by cyberscript adni thought screw it il try it i mainly use upra adn i might be dumb but i cant find the download link sorry if this is annoying
Just checking in on if there is a next update coming.
I find that wmic is now not installed on 25H2 so some functions error, tdsskiller gets removed by windows defender and have had Blackpoint security call and shut a machine down because of Tron activity (I work for an MSP).
Thank you for an excellent tool.
Hi guys, I am using Tron, I have been following a video by a guy named Niko, I am on a stage that takes a long Time ("erros about "shiting down" are safe to ignore"). Is the guide acrurate, and will I be safe from the trojans on my pc? Sorry if I spund a bit skeptical, it just looks too good to be true
I have been trying to download tron from edge and it keeps flagging it as a virus , even when i hit "keep" option it cancels the downloading saying its a virus. What can i do to fix this . Any suggestions?
During the Trellix Stinger portion of stage 0 my system is being rebooted automatically. I know in the faq there is a section about something similar, but that is in stage 2, not stage 0. is anyone else experiencing this?
Every time I run the tron file it continues from the start of the pre run restore and restarts after it’s finished and does the same thing, it also says your pc ran into a problem, this happens immediately after the message “if this job takes more than 20minutes, kill solitaire.exe with task manager” and then at the bottom of the restart screen it says “stop code: CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED (0xEF)”. Does anyone know how to fix this.
I've restarted my pc beforehand and have run a diskcheck on both drives. This is also fairly early in the process, about 20-40 seconds in. What may be causing this? How could i fix this?
Hello :)
Is it okay that I had to run the tron.exe as admin after it rebooted the pc?
It didn't want to AutoStart. I feel like maybe I missed a few virus removal stuff, cause it restarted from stage 4 where it downloaded an image file, but the PC rebooted at stage 3. How to make it autoexec after reboot if needed?
I've seen multiple people talk about the annoying "organization management" issue, where certain useful windows settings are greyed out and inaccessible after running tron, and I think I found a solution that *should* work across the board, here it is:
The solution that finally worked for my case, (which seemed impossible to fix, even after i tried fixes like editing "gpedit.msc" settings, erasing specific files, etc)
-
Open windows powershell as administrator (could work with CMD as well, I'm not sure, but it has to be opened as admin)
paste this command:
reg delete "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies" /f
reg delete "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\WindowsSelfHost" /f
reg delete "HKCU\Software\Policies" /f
reg delete "HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Policies" /f
reg delete "HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies" /f
reg delete "HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WindowsStore\WindowsUpdate" /f
reg delete "HKLM\Software\Microsoft\WindowsSelfHost" /f
reg delete "HKLM\Software\Policies" /f
reg delete "HKLM\Software\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Policies" /f
reg delete "HKLM\Software\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies" /f
reg delete "HKLM\Software\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WindowsStore\WindowsUpdate" /f
then paste
gpupdate /force
>reboot pc
>(hopefully) celebrate it being fixed
Ran this like... three times and loved it- but I've ran into this problem recently so I figured I throw this down here.
OneDrive is the default location for the "Pictures" library on Windows 10, and even if there aren't any pictures in there, the folder itself might trip the script into not purging OneDrive.
It's a good thing to prefer keeping files just in case, but it can be a bit annoying for users like me who don't like OneDrive.
Here's how to fix:
-
Open File Explorer
-
Navigate to "This PC"
You should be seeing something like this:
3. Highlighted in the above picture is the "Pictures" folder. This is what you're messing with. Right click and go to "Properties."
4. In Properties, click "Location."
5. Look at the set location. This is what they've done to you. This is the tactics of the enemy. Get angry. Get heated. Don't hit the computer though that thing's expensive. Yeah no that's step five just get mad
6. Change the location from wherever it is to this:
C:\Users\[YOUR USER. PUT YOUR USER HERE.]\Pictures
7. Click Apply.
8. You'll probably get a popup telling you "oh no we can't do that" do it anyways. Confirm. It's your hardware, it will do what you tell it to do.
9. Navigate to C:\Users\**[Your User]**\OneDrive or however it's meant to be laid out. You can find it. I believe in you.
10. Check to see if you have pictures in there. You'd be surprised to learn you've been using OneDrive if you didn't expect anything in there.
11. After you've moved the pictures to literally anywhere else on your PC (even system32. it's a funny temp moving folder if you don't have shaky hands) or you've made peace with destroying the files in he old, stinky pictures directory, Delete the folder in any way you see fit.
After that, re-run Step 2 of Tron. Or the whole thing if you feel like it. Or don't. Seriously, it's all you from here on out.
Much love to only one of the contributors (you know which one you are. flirty devil). In all seriousness though y'all are great keep doing what you're doing.
To Vocatus, I'll donate later when I get paid. Try a lager or smthn IDK.
Also yeah if you're looking to see if Tron works on Windows 10 LTSC IOT it does and if it doesn't you'll see me bitching on the sub later.
I recently ran tronscript (and it finished in like 20 minutes for some odd reason), which then cleaned my windows settings to their original I believe, (which is fine), except for the fact that it no longer lets me edit them? things like the clipboard history which is very useful, tron has been extremely weird and it's ironically acting like a bug I'd like to get the traces of removed more than anything
Hi all I'm trying to run tron. I reset my computer, ran tron as admin, and when it tried to detect disks it returned missing operand and is now sitting on checking repo for updated tron version. It's been like that for a while. Did I do something wrong?
I ran and finished the script successfully but now my pc always prompts something like "press any key to cancel checkdisk" but whenever i leave it to run check disk it runs for like a second and then goes to the windows login screen.
stuff that ive done:
- manually run checkdisk /f /r on admin cmd
- ran the dism restore health cmd
- ran sfc scannow
i dont see any problems, i also checked my ssd health through crystaldiskinfo and it doesnt have any errors and the health is at 96%
how do i remove this prompt?
I ran tronscript while following all instructions, and maybe 20-30 minutes later CMD turns green,
I rebooted by PC and restarted tron and it made a system restore point (which happens at the beginning i believe)
Did it really finish that fast or is the green CMD not an actual indicator of anything?
Hello. Currently, the Tron script updates regedit on Windows to include mandetory restrictions for Microsoft Edge. I think instead of updating "Edge" in regedit, it should update "Edge>Recommended". This allows the user to still change settings whilst updating the default in Edge.
I made the update mannually, but I wanted to open a discussion to see if there was any reason it wasn't already like this.
Before we start, this is an exhaustive beginner guide for “newcomer” on GUI on Windows who wants to use Tron. It is all based on my own experience, it may not be perfect, but it helps.
Those who already know how to use it, this post is not for you, and you might ignore it. Most of the things I’m going to talk about are already touched. But you’re free to read if you have a problem I encountered.
First and foremost, the official guide:
-New commers, if you’re on PC you might read the description above or on the right of this sub where it says that the old mode is necessary to get the information you desire with this link This link is not to put on the reddit search bar, put it on a navigator like Brave or Mozilla to access the true link and not on reddit directly.
WARNING TO READ!!!
-If you have a doubt about your ability or the reliability of your pc to run Tron without error, do it in a virtual environment. The instructions on my guide will not change, all you have to do is to run it in a virtual environment beforehand to test.
-Make a safe point/Restauration point beforehand for your pc in case of issue. Tron will do one but make one too just to be safe and reboot there in case of issue.
-Save your important files if possible beforehand into another drive.
-As you may have seen, or if you didn’t see it, Tron is a LAST resort to use for anti-malware. The reason for that is because Tron is so aggressive it can literally sometimes cause trouble. I saw a user saying that it deleted some of his game saves and in my case, the search bar disappeared from my windows disappeared. It can sometimes disable services if it thinks they have malwares.
-Only use it if you think your anti-malware is giving you false positive and you think there are malware so deep in your system that the anti-malwares can’t see them.
-In my case I have a gaming PC with a good processor and a RTX 3050ti, yet even when I put everything at low i would get frames drop in my games, there would be texture losses, and the pc resources would be on the roof. The icon of my Wi-Fi would also randomly disappear whenever I put my pc into sleep and would only re-appear when I had to reboot it. My application would become slow and refuse overtime too until I reboot.
-If you have any update, finish them all and reboot your pc before doing anything related to Tron. Any updates that are being finalized during the use of Tron can brick your system if you didn’t finish them. So, if you’re afraid of that, either finish all of your updates and/or go save your important files in another drive as a backup.
-Do not use it for an everyday purpose. You’ve been warned.
PRE-REQUISITE:
-If you think the power can cut, you have a bad cable that can’t constantly sustain your pc or have any problem with your hardware that can’t make your pc last for more than 30 hours, DO NOT RUN TRON.
-The normal time for Tron is within 4-8 hours in average but in some cases, it can go up to 30 hours in some cases.
-If you do not think your pc can sustain something this long because of heating or mother board problem, circuit or batterie that instant cut power if your pc move, I recommend you do not use Tron straight up.
Download:
PC:
-As I said previously, if you’re on PC go to , select “Dear new users: thank you for joining us, but please read this first.” And select “Instructions (detailed) (if unfamiliar with the Windows command-line)” and from there you will have “Downloads” and “How to use Tron”.
-I recommend opening “How to use Tron” in a page for itself if you want to follow the official description instead of mine.
-For “Downloads”, when you select it, select the “official” one and download the one with the most download as it is the most Trusted.
Help with Phone:
-If you’re on phone trying to troubleshoot your pc, it is very likely that you didn’t even see the description. To access it, select “Wiki” right below the subreddit name and in "Changelog | Download | How to use Tron” you will have the link of the download at “Download” and the official guide at “How to use Tron”.
-From there I recommend opening “How to use Tron” on your phone to see the instructions.
Error when trying to download:
-If there are errors when you’re trying to download, there are 2 culprits: Your browser and Windows defender.
-For this, and this is the only time I think I’m going to say this in my life, but I recommend using Edge to download Tron if you do not have Mozilla Firefox. Good browsers like Brave will instant delete Tron the moment it is downloaded, and I only know to bypass that through Edge.
-You can launch the download of Tron BUT before it finishes, you need to do 2 things: disable the protection of download for Edge(or your browser) and temporarily disable Windows Defender. If your browser tries to warn you about Tron being a Malware, it is normal.
Temporarily disable Edge protection download:
-Enter Egde.
-Got to settings.
-Select the bar where “Privacy, search and service” tab is present.
-Select the “Security” tab.
-Toggle off the switch where “protect against dangerous websites and download/Use Microsoft Defender SmartScreen”
Temporarily disable Windows defender:
-Go to the search bar of your Desktop and select “Microsoft Security.”
-Go to “Protection against virus and threats”
-Select “Manage Settings” under “Virus and threat protection settings"
-Disable “Protection in real time”.
End of download:
-If you’ve done everything correctly, when Tron is downloaded, your Browser will show an error, showing a potential risk. If there are options like 3 dots or other parameters to select so you can download it anyway, use it.
-For example, on Edge, it is 3 dots and when selected, it will show selection to “keep” the download.
After settings:
-Do not Re-enable Windows defender or smart screen yet.
-Create a folder, like “tool” on your “MAIN” partition, which is likely to be at 99% your “C:/” partition.
-Go to the download of Tron, where the file was downloaded. Select it and move it to the folder “tool” you previously created in “C:/”.
-Then go to “Manage Settings”, where you were previously and go to “exclusion”.
-From there, it will ask you to add an exclusion. From my experience, to make sure it works, select “add an exclusion”, select "Folder” and select the folder “Tool” that you have previously created.
-Now, do the same again. But instead of “Folder”, select “File” and choose the Tron.exe that you downloaded. If you did it properly, windows will not instant delete it on sight.
-From then, go to “Tool”, and execute the Tron.exe file as an administrator, just to be sure.
-Windows will show a warning. Select more information about it because it will not show any kind of “execute”. it may also show a highlighted text at the end that you will select and that will show “execute anyways” or something on these lines.
-When it is over, 2 folders will appear. Select these 2 folders, copy them and past them onto the desktop of your MAIN drive. I have a partition “C:/” and “G:/” for example, which is why I insist on MAIN.
-Just because I was scared of making a mistake, I re-enabled windows smart screen and windows defender and then I rebooted my pc. Under normal circumstances, even after rebooting and the re-enabling of windows defender, everything should be fine and there.
Tron use:
-Now, from the 2 folders you copied in your Desktop, one is called “Tron”. Select it.
-There are instructions to read. In case you read this beginner guide in the future, like 1-3 years after post, things may have changed so I recommend reading it in case they added new things I haven’t cover.
-Before launching Tron, download .NET Framework 3.5 via “dism /online /get-featureinfo /featurename:NetFx3” in command line as an administrator. For that go to the search bar and write “cmd”. The command line will appear and run it as administrator.
-That step will avoid trouble when installing or crash of Tron. When everything is over you can delete it. It is also important to note that having the latest version of Framework will not compensate that step, you'll still need to install .NET framework 3.5 specifically.
-In the folder, execute “Tron.bat” as an administrator.
-A command line should appear, and you will just need to follow the instructions as it is.
-There is also a part where it will ask you to write “I AGREE” in case anything goes wrong.
-Tron will make a restauration point in case things go wrong, so you do not have to worry too much if you didn’t do mistakes.
Issue during installation:
-I had 1 issue when trying to run it because it was stuck in the command line “Launching job ‘Windows disk cleanup’”. It was trying to clean my disk but there was something that blocked the process. If this message doesn’t disappear within 30 minutes and there is still a dot “_” at the line after that instruction, then use “Win + R”.
-Then write “cleanmgr” and select your main partition. It will launch back the process.
-if you want to cancel Tron's process even though it is not recommended, either Read the manual for better notes if things change in the futur or open task manager and end the task of everything Tron related (from cmd to processes) but it might leave the system damaged. In my case I just restaured to an older version of my pc but the process will be way longer because windows will try to fix the system.
AFTER installation:
-When the installation in complete, it is likely the cmd icone will turn yellow and there will be "complete" at the beginning of the last paragraph.
-REBOOT. The first thing you need to do after everything is over is to reboot immediately.
Not satisfied:
-In case you’re not satisfied with what Tron did or it deleted some important file because it found malwares inside it, Just boot back to the previous restauration point you did at the beginning of this guide.
-If your restauration point doesn’t work, it means that many disk have protection enabled.
-DO “Win + R” and write “sysdm.cpl”
-Select System Protection
-Select your “SECONDARY” partition. The main is “C:/” your secondary partition is likely named “G:/” and select “configure”.
-Disable the protection of the system and select “Apply”, then “OK”.
From then on, you should be able to go back to restauration point. Whether Tron’s or the one you created.
More notes:
-If you’re using a VM and try to test Tron, it can cause some issues, like a bar when selected refuse to disappear or you being disconnected for a long time and not being able to connect back. In that second case, to make sure your virtual machine isn’t bricked, check the process behind the scenes, whether in the virtual machine or task manager. Even with 0.3 to 0.5% of the use of the processor shows that it is still working. It will just take some time.
Here you go. In case this help any newcomer to learn how to use Tron and avoid fatal mistakes.
There has been news that wmic will be removed in latest version of windows 11. So i wish to know is there any development regarding this tool? It already shows that wmic is not recognized as a command on my device.
Hi there, new user. Never used Tron, plan on using it later when needed.
Before you guys try to jump me, I saw the warnings and know i shouldn't use Tron just like a regular anti virus but you know, sometimes you need to take risk.
My question is not about how to use Tron but clear examples on when to use it. My pc is a gaming pc and feels slow, very slow at that with bugs on the system and i do not know if it is because of windows 11 or because of malwares. Each time i try to run windows defender, there's no indication whatsoever but i have my doubt and think they are false positive. Should i only use it when i felt like my or pc is falling apart or what are the pre-signs that i must use it? i rather use TRON than reinstall my whole OS in case like these.
My second question is about using TRON on a virtual machine. Will it work?
i am letting tron run and it is stuck on disk cleanup, i followd instructions on the reddit post but its stuck at around 90% on one of the two windos
When I try to run Tron, Windows Defender stops it and removes the program. How do I stop it from happening, and if there is a video, can u link it.
Since downloading tron my computer crashes a lot more often and i would like to remove it, but the instructions havent been helping
Does Tron remove:
- Redundant/orphaned install packages,similar to the old
- Cache files that tend to become quite voluminous like pip for example
i backed up my computer and ran tron and it helped my computer a lot, but it deleted my minecraft bedrock and the computer backup i made just before running tron, so now i cant get my old childhood minecraft bedrock worlds that meant so much to me :(
Hi everyone, I have been having an issue where my Tron script gets stuck on a certain part of stage 0 with "generating pre-run profile."
I let it run for about 2 hours, and it doesn't progress. I made sure to check if the box was active by right-clicking/using the arrow keys to make sure the prompt wasn't waiting for any input.
I have 5 storage devices, 2 being m.2, 1 SSHD, and 2 HDDs. Is that why it's taking so long to dump the programs?
My question is just the title I'm but of a idiot when it comes to software
I just finished work, currently running Tron. It's been about almost an hour and it's only at 99% on the pre-run restore point. It's been stuck at 98% for about 20, and now it's been stuck on 99% for about 30. Is this normal for the Pre-run? I followed the steps to launch correctly. Did I do something wrong?
Hello guys I started tron for the first time an hour or so ago to debloat my acer nitro 5 laptop. About 40 minutes ago it seems to have junkware removal phase 3, and I don't know when but now I am checking how it is going and there is a program compatibility assistant error stating a driver (30807375.sys) cannot be loaded on this device. Should I worry about something, is it really not stalled and how do I fix this. Thanks a lot in advance, If any more information is necessary to determine the problem (if there is one) I can provide it.
Is there a version of TRON for phones? I've been getting into the security side of things just a few days ago. It's late but better then never. I've got VPN's, setting up multiple emails for harder tracking (each email is for a certin thing, one for finance, another for gaming, etc etc)
Is there anything else I'm missing by chance? Any search engines that could replace Chrome on both my phone and computer that offer better security and privacy while being less censored?
Currently I have Tor and DuckDuckGo running for my phone, I plan to do the same for computer as well
TL:DR: Is there a version for Phones of TRON? Anything other then VPN's and emails for Privacy? Any trusted search engines that could replace Chrome (IOS and Windows Compatible)

Guys. if i downloaded a game from "ElAmigos" and it instalado a virus. Can TronScript Fix it? the game is going to be uninstallef pr only the virus?
i ran tron on my pc a bit ago and i feel like it finished abnormaly fast. it took maybe 30 minutes max for the whole thing. idk if i did something wrong or if maybe my pc was just really clean
If i ran tronscript on my PC on the automated procedure that just runs many scanners and debloats windows and improves privacy and such. Does this mean that i can download windows updates without those specific settings getting resetted or will they prevail any windows update?
I downloaded and windows was trying to tell me it was a virus of course, I ignored that and kept the files, they went to my downloads, but then they were gone not long after, I’m now really skeptical about running tron because I’m concerned windows will delete it in the middle of the process
I’m fairly familiar with PC language but Tron is definitely intimidating me, I’ve never ran an antivirus that wasn’t automatic and I’m worried about not knowing what to do when I run Tron, so I was hoping it would hold my hand through the process.
While researching (mainly for a good Debloater/ Windows Install fixer/ option that circumvents reinstalling Windows) for a personal machine, i stumbled upon TRON.
While reading both User feedback a lot of users complain about TRON messing with programs and more specifically Game AC software's like Vanguard etc.
But after reading the documentation, and what TRON actually does, I'm kinda confused as to HOW that could even happen.
Stage 0-2 & 4-8 doesn't affect/should not affect that anyhow, as its about "fixing" the underlying Windows architecture. RKILL/Process Killer doesnt "Delete" from what i've read and only kills the process...
Stage 3 could affect it, if falsely flagged by an AV software, but that would mean, that even the baseline non integrated AV versions would flag and remove Game components.
Also while i can see where the difficulty of operating TRON comes from, (and i can see that you shouldn't willy nilly use TRON) why exactly is it claimed to be so "Dangerous", when most of its actions are technically just bundled up programs/commands which are intended to be used by regular users, some programs that ensure that afforementioned programs/tasks can properly do their job, as well as some setting of parameters to known good values.
I wouln't call myself super tech versed, but i understood like 99% of the Instructions & Actions TRON makes from the get go, while reading through the Documentation.
So i guess the question is:
Where does that bad rep come from?
Hi everyone, I found out about Tron a few days ago and decided to use it. I downloaded the files, put them in desktop (C:\Users\<myusername>\Desktop) and ran the script as admin. The script is currently on stage 2 remove toolbars by GUID, and it's given me a lot of these "Permission denied" messages. Are these cause for concern? Can I just let the script run or should I try and run it while booted into safe mode? (I've already tried restarting the pc with no networking, and after running the script, the same messages popped up)
Before you get annoyed, I read the q&a but it doesnt tell me how to solve the problem.
Also, Im on an intermediate lvl so I should be fine runnng tron, but is it complety save? Like whats the worst that could happen
HELLO EVERYONE! HELLO EVERYONE! I just discovered Tron today, and I was amazed by how cool this app/script is (I’m not really sure if it’s an app or a script, sorry). The problem is, I honestly have no idea how to use it or even where to start. I’d really appreciate it if someone could give me instructions on how to download and set up Tron on my PC. Thank you so much!
While checking the README, files and Instructions, I noticed PowerToys on a list for to be deleted applications in stage 2.
Is this some other application or Microsoft's collection of tools?
File and Line in question:
can i like run it as administrator and go to sleep?
if i install this antivirus does it wipe my data?? i downloaded the file from the subreddit like you told in the description
i just found about tron and i want to try it since few days ago one of my social media get hacked (i think its because i just installed some cracked software), and when i tery to run it (with "Run as Administrator") it does nothing, what should i do? i cant find anything from the instruction about this, thank you
I recently discovered and used Tron and have been extremely pleased with the results. Fairly new to CMD prompts and the nitty gritty of Windows, and yet was pleasantly surprised by the ease of using it. My run through of Tron finished in around 2 hours, and while I gather this is faster than advertised, I have kept a fairly clean system and have always been cautious online. Still, the bloatware and background processes removed have made a world of a difference. My mid to low end laptop now runs better than ever. If you are thinking of using Tron, even without direct concerns of major infections, I would only say to use some common sense. The great devs here literally have every step covered in detail, just follow the instructions and you'll be fine.
My computer currently does not appear to have any viruses, I have run windows defender, malwarebytes and Avast to double and triple check in that order But the issue is that I did catch some a couple of years ago, malwarebytes caught them and removed, but ever since my Windows Update doesn’t seem to be working properly and neither can Microsoft Store (and from that I don’t trust Defender to be working properly either) I tried every other fix I could find, enabling services in Services and etc but didn’t get much improvements I’ve heard of Tron recently via a YouTube video, and while I understand its main focus is as a last resort help against active viruses, I’ve also read it’s a great un-bloater Which brings me here, while my computer probably isn’t currently infected, it presumably has some virus-shaped holes in its systems, would Tron help here or is my only solution a reinstall of windows?
this isn't how the font looked before, and I don't remember reading in the manual that it would do this? How do I change it back to segoe ui
In short, I am not able to connect to the website which allows me to download the script. I have no reason to believe the connectivity is an issue on my end, but wanted to verify. Thank you.

Title says it, script gets stuck buffering trying to use wget but the official site is down so it doesn't recieve anything and just freezes on checking for updates.
For some unknown reason my computer was really taking it's time at the login screen, with no issues after the boot whatsoever. Ran tron, took about 2 hours, and now it only spends 5 seconds at the login screen. Thanks!
Can I know what was wrong with my computer that tron fixed? the log file is 12 megabytes.
I have attempted running tron.bat -x on powershell and cmd as administrator but none seemed to work and im confused on how to do it can anyone please explain?
In my last post I complained how TronScript did and that, like wiping my Edge cookies, but like, partially. But nevertheless, it was my fault for not even reading the warnings or disclaimers, and now that the issues have been resolved, I am seeing a noticeable performance increase. Thanks to those who told me how to address the issues I found myself with, and thank you to Tron contributors for making such a potent tool
When i Run Tron, it runned for a while then My Pc Started Giving Me Bluescreens. After inspections Tron messed with winload.efi. and windows wasnt loading at all
I downloaded tron script to clean out my computer and have it in automated mode. When I first opened the script to start running it in administrative mode it stops at missing operand check repo for updated tron version. The version downloaded it the latest one and it’s just stuck on this prompt what should I do?
my computer still works pretty well its just gotten quite slow over the years, and i feel like its all the bloatware microsoft puts on my pc, and maybe a virus. malwarebytes doesnt say i have any issues so idk. Am I able to just run tron to debloat my pc? i dont want to risk losing any files like games and stuff
