What is Nuclear Throne?
Nuclear Throne is Vlambeers latest action roguelike-like about mutants that spend their workdays trying to fight for the throne in a post-apocalyptic world. The radioactive waste in the world allows mutants to get ahead by mutating new limbs on the fly and the abundant availability of powerful weaponry makes the quest to become the ruler of the Wasteland one frought with peril. All of this is really just an excuse for us to make a fun action game.
What is this stream?
We think that game development has been a nebulous concept for long enough. Even though documentaries and behind the scenes show you some of game development, for our latest title Nuclear Throne we decided to actually stream everything. If what you're seeing isn't gameplay, what you're likely staring at is Game Maker Studio, a game development tool that we use to create the prototype of the game.
When and where can I get Nuclear Throne?
Nuclear Throne is currently available for $12.99 on Steam title, or as DRM-Free download through the game website. Active development on Nuclear Throne has been completed, although small updates may continue to be released.

Who does what?
Jan Willem (or as most people know him, 'JW') is the designer at Vlambeer. He creates the prototypes that eventually turn into Vlambeer games, and for him, prototyping means he creates the entire game.
