It is the six year anniversary (a week ago, to be exact) of my first #Ubuntu #Linux package uploads to Launchpad, for what ended up becoming the #SavOS project. Since then I have done over 40,000 uploads of several thousand unique source packages spanning now five LTS releases!!!

A very big thank you to all those who have donated, as you are the primary reason that this project is still even going after so many years. One day I would love to see this project morph into something much greater, with a dedicated team of tech folk helping to bring the enhanced SavOS experience to far more Ubuntu Linux users globally. The main build box for my SavOS Ubuntu Linux PPAs died today after a week of building new Blender packages. Yesterday it began to fail, seemed to be RAM, but RAM tested OK. A few more builds last night, then it quit today with motherboard failure. A system that did great work!

Any users of my PPAs who are able to donate towards the motherboard replacement cost (about US$100 for a used identical model) will really help me get back up and running! In the meantime, new Blender packages for SavOS private PPA users of Ubuntu Linux will be coming soon.

A new Qt6 apps PPA with MKVToolNix 85.0, OBS Studio 30.1.2, and OBS Advanced Scene Switcher 1.26.4 (more soon) is now available to #SavOS PPA users of #Ubuntu #Linux at ppa:savoury1/qt6-apps ( https://launchpad.net/~savoury1/+archive/ubuntu/qt6-apps ) for 16.04, 18.04, 20.04 & 22.04 LTS.
