extremely frustrating how posts about leftist antisemitism never reach outside of the jumblr circle and the majority of this website is still allowed to live in their fantasy world where they aren't actively making our lives a living hell
they get to live in their little bubble of whimsy and wonder and antisemitic misinformation where they're the innocent heroes and to have their convenient culturally christian jewish tokens back them up, meanwhile the jewish vents blog is actively getting asks from jews who are scared to leave their house because of them

Yeah, it's bad when a blog (that wasn't actually Jewish but mostly likely an Iranian psyop) poses as one and gets thousands of notes basically saying 'yeah so there's no antisemitism on the left. It's only evil Zionists and right wingers that do it'. 90% of those thousand are in agreement.
Yet I see plenty of Jewish bloggers from across the political spectrum pointing out antisemitism from supposed allies. With maybe a couple hundred notes on it and with the few that get a couple thousand? Guaranteed you will find several people commenting on how it's not a big deal, you're an evil Zionist, how it's impossible for them to be antisemitic (due to having Jewish friends, being on the left, etc), some blood libel and more and even more people reblogging in agreement from a person that said that.
It's an extremely shit situation-the people that should be seeing the posts from jumblr won't and will continue on repeating antisemitic shit, with it eventually AT Jewish bloggers. At the same time, if they do see the posts, there's a very real risk that they will continue repeating antisemitic shit but directly AT Jewish bloggers.
Unfortunately, many of my fellow non Jews would rather have their biases confirmed on them being a good person and getting to live out a heroic fantasy. They don't want to engage with the community they claim to care about unless they can use them. They don't want nuance or to learn. They don't want to unpack why they have such a visceral hate of Jews or that they're actually not that far removed from how non Jewish people acted in the 1930s.
There's a reason why antisemitism is considered one of the oldest, if not actually THE oldest, form of hate. And these past months have given me answers to questions I never wanted to ask.
That being said, if you have reach outside these walls, please feel free to boost my posts.
I'm not afraid of these little shits' vitriol.
They can come at me a thousand times with their empty slogans, and their misinformation, their self-righteousness and their egos, but I have to believe the truth will win out eventually.

Just because the words say Israel, doesn't mean you mean Israel and not jews. Using a jewish folk song that predates the modern state of israel is a choice, and its one which implies that the target of your hate is not israel, but the jewish people.
