been a bit busy lately and by busy i mean my sis is making me marathon veronicamars s3 all at once along with other tv shows during her time off work and man. i feel like im being tortured by bad romance plots none of these knuckleheads have chemistry with each other and the dumb forced drama is driving me nuts

like i've constantly kvetched about gf's romance plots but urgh mainstream tv shows and movies. (peakyblinderss2 love plots being so bleh too) but also this season of vm is noticably worse and apparently its cos this is when they became a cw show so it's like '...ah. of course' anyway lets have the main couple speedrun breaking up and getting back together 50 times in a row and also rebounding with people they interacted with like. twice plus they wrote off all the friend characters this season even more than usual and its like urghhhhhh cos the friendships were the main interesting relationships in this show and its getting so bad that im going 'man i miss bland ass duncan he was actually getting character dev before he was written off' and that's not even going into the first arc for this season being so 😬😬😬 the classic 00s hatred of feminism of it all...... going 'i'm not like other girls' to the extreme and then the murder mystery plot being so ???? cos the culprits plan only worked by coincidence and was almost all for nothing lmao (didn't help that there wasn't many suspects and the 2 being focused on were way too sus to be the culprit lol) saw people claiming that the lead writer hates!!! romance!!! and im just ??? then why is there so much constantly??? i wish he did!!! anyway was rewatching ms fishers recently too and its like 'huh. ongoing romances that don't make me want to tear my hair out' probably because they dont take up a billion minutes of screentime and aren't too intrusive or forced lmao (i mean dot's partner is a bit annoying but it balances out with dot's great character development if that makes sense lol)

also its really funny that the guy who spent half his life working on a multidimensional portal just calls the multiverse 'space', it really makes me wish stan gets a chance to show off his knowledge while using completely wrong jargon

it surprisingly doesn't seem to bug ford that much despite him being pedantic but i guess he was busy going >:( at immediately being recognised as a criminal and stan finally finding out? it does make you wonder how hard was it for him to travel around but i guess that's why he had the mask and googles...

currently studying stan like a bug cos i literally just noticed that his first stanco attempt (that caused him to be banned from new jersey) had him dressing up almost exactly like the principal who indirectly gave him the worst news of his life and was certain that stan would be stuck in glass shard forever

what is wrong with him 💕💕💕 the world's most okay-est and mentally well teenager stan pines stanley pines the fact that he and ford were sent to the principal office constantly (stan going 'what is it this time') how many times has this guy scolded stan...... considering what he told caryn who was clearly being concerned for stan he definitely didn't hold back any insults...... and stan being the type of person who holds on tight to every bad thing that was said about him 😭😭😭😭😭 if someone did point this out before then i definitely forgot lmao which wouldn't be surprising cos my memory is awful aksdhakjdhak

ford pines stanford pines (i can relate to the poetry thing i don't really click with it either lol) meanwhile i like to think stan is technically pretty good with numbers but flunked maths during school cos you have to practice it a bunch plus the types can get super different imo i can see him being pretty good at probability... and then choosing to ignore it cos gotta gamble!!!! i was pretty good at maths but probability was always my major weakness lmao (dunno how imaginary numbers were easier than prob for me.....)

finished off an into the bunker storyboard redraw i started like a year ago

stan pines stanley pines i really wish we knew what he was saying to waddles here but its too blurry in the vid neno edits the fact that the crew were thinking of having the bunker be connected directly to the lab forever sad that waddles being stan's lab companion was cut..... the idea that stan felt comfortable chatting about everything to the pig since he cant spill his secrets

people misspelling mabel’s name as mable consistently is something that happens a lot but it still gets to me a bit considering that her name is shown at the start of literally every episode and i’m pretty sure we see it way more than other names in the show in general lol

like i'd totally get if people misspelled soos' name cos its pretty unconventional? (ignoring that most people tend to mishear it instead) ......there may be a world where it was spelt as sus lmaooooo maybe mabel going 'it rhymes with table!!' stuck in people's minds more lol (....a bit egregious when its a fic that tags her name tbh asdhkahdka)
