On a chilly winter day, we had the honor of granting a very special wish for our oldest recipient, Catherine, who was celebrating her remarkable 109th birthday in style! Her heartfelt request was to tour Buffalo and revisit the places where she once lived and worked, as well as see the exciting changes at Canalside. We arranged for a limousine to take Catherine and a few family members on this nostalgic journey through time. Along the ride, they reminisced about childhood memories, school days, jobs, and longtime neighbors. The evening concluded with a celebratory dinner at her favorite spot—Ilio DiPaolo’s Restaurant and Banquet Facility.
