Hi! Let me also jump in for a bit. Firstly, the point you raised is a great one. I think Queso was just saying specifically that moderation action may not be instantaneous in the sense that we may not be able to catch it all the time as soon as someone utters bigotry in game. I think our approach to moderation will be many fold. Firstly, we will need to set a community guideline and terms of use that will clearly prohibit bigotry and hate speech, and give us the ability to have the discretion to take enforcement actions. We'll also need a good set of moderation tools to allow us to act asap. All these we did with Guns as well. We'll also have a ban word list that we'll actively update. While this is not a catch all, it'll give us a baseline to work from. Then I think it's up to us to be active and also have a good moderation structure that allows a group of moderators that we trust to be able to respond quickly in game. With community servers, that essentially provides an additional layer of moderation, as the server hosts also have access to moderation tools on the server. The moderation tools that we and the game moderators are global across all servers, so we can go in and take action on all servers. The community servers that have good track record of moderation and citizenship, we could also feature and promote those servers.
This is what we've thought of so far, and we'll look to do more. Essentially you're right. In order for everyone to enjoy the game long term, we'll need to have good moderation and maintain it.
Hope this adds a bit more detail.
Thanks so much!!
