The lnternational SparkLink Wireless Short-range Communication Alliance (iSLA) is a global industry alliance committed to promoting innovation and ecosystem development of new Short-range wireless communication technologies. lt supports rapidly evolving application scenarios such as smart cars, smart homes, smart terminals, and smart manufacturing, addressing demands for ultimate performance.
Established in September 2020, iSLA was co-founded by 80 members spanning industry institutions, universities, research institutes, chip vendors, automotive OEMs and vendors, smart phone and terminal companies, home devices, communications, test equipment, and IT sectors. To date, iSLA has grown to encompass over 1000 associates.
iSLA focuses on key initiatives including standardization, testing and certification, strategic development, ecosystem building, application demonstration, technical exchanges, and global collaboration. lt has emerged as a pivotal global platform driving the growth of the wireless Short-range communication industries.

International SparkLink Alliance Officially Becomes International Industry and Standards Organization
The International SparkLink Alliance received the social organization legal person registration certificate issued by China's Ministry of Civil Affairs, officially becoming an international industry and standards organization.
Launch of NearLink Tablet and Stylus
Huawei introduced the first tablet and stylus featuring NearLink technology at the Autumn All-Scenario New Product Launch, marking the first commercial year of NearLink technology.
Release of First Two NearLink Technical Standards
The Alliance released the first two NearLink technical standards, establishing a preliminary technical framework.
NearLink Chip Shipments Surpass 15 Million Units
NearLink technology achieved initial commercialization in sectors such as smart automotive and smart homes, with 3 domestically-developed chips and 3 test instruments released, reaching 15 million chip shipments.
Release of NearLink Digital Car Key Standard
The SparkLink Alliance and Intelligent Connected Vehicle Ecosystem Alliance (ICCE Alliance) jointly released the NearLink Digital Car Key Standard, advancing the NearLink technology applications in smart automotive.
Broader Commercial Deployment
At the Industry Summit, 21 manufacturers unveiled 31 new NearLink products—including chips, modules, instruments, office devices, in-vehicle systems and operating platforms—expanding its reach across diverse industries.
NearLink 2.0 Series Standards Released
At the "2024 International SparkLink Alliance Industry Summit" in Shenzhen, the NearLink 2.0 series standards were released, adding 21 new standards covering end-to-end protocol systems, native audio/video, human-machine interaction and other application scenarios.
Establishment of Wuhan Innovation Laboratory
The Hubei Province PC Industry Chain Ecosystem Conference and the Inauguration Ceremony of the International SparkLink Alliance Wuhan Innovation Laboratory were held at Wuhan Pansheng Technology Park, marking the establishment of the nation's second SparkLink laboratory in Huangpi District.
NearLink Testing Standard System Released
At the 2024 China Radio Conference - NearLink Short-Range Communication Innovation Application Technology Exchange held in Ziyang, Sichuan, the Alliance released the NearLink testing standard system and conformance/interoperability testing system.
NearLink Ecosystem Gains Momentum
NearLink technical standards increased from 22 to 32; Alliance members exceeded 1000 entities, covering global industrial chains; NearLink chip shipments surpassed 70 million units; NearLink product categories expanded from 6 to over 100, covering smart home, automotive electronics, consumer electronics and other fields.
NearLink 2.0 Standard System Further Improved
At the 15th meeting of the Alliance Requirements and Standards Group in Beijing, 6 new standard projects (such as application layer interaction ports, millimeter-wave technology, etc.) were approved, alongside 12 draft proposals for consultation.
Accelerating Global Expansion
The "SparkLink - Connecting the Intelligent World" seminar and product exhibition was held in Barcelona, marking the first European public demonstration of NearLink technology applications including multi-device interactive screen projection solutions and 360° surround view systems.
First Vehicle Integration of NearLink Car Key
At the Huawei Pura Pioneer Ceremony and HarmonyOS Smart Selection New Product Launch, Huawei officially introduced the AITO M9 "Panoramic Smart Flagship SUV", the first vehicle to feature the NearLink digital car key. This marks an important step in the application of NearLink technology in the smart automotive field.
Completion of NearLink 2.0 Standard Release
The 2025 International SparkLink Alliance Industry Summit announced the full completion and release of NearLink 2.0 standards.
NearLink HID and Car Key Application Laboratory Interoperability Testing Officially Launched
The SparkLink OpenLab industry event and Interoperability Testing Conference commenced, launching interoperability testing for NearLink HID and car key applications along with Hubei Province's NearLink industry services, marking the standardization phase of interoperability testing in consumer electronics and smart automotive fields.
