Tesero

Val di Fiemme was the first place in the southern Alps to host a Nordic World Ski Championship in 1991. Since then, Tesero has become a point of reference in international Nordic skiing, especially due to the Tesero Cross-Country Ski Centre, which guarantees excellent conditions resulting from the expertise of its highly specialized personnel. Some unforgettable runs in the Cross-Country Skiing World Cup have been written on the pistes in Tesero, as has the Tour de Ski, an event for which Val di Fiemme is a fixed stop and conclusive end to the first edition.

The cross-country skiing pistes are flanked by prized forests managed by the Magnifica Comunità di Fiemme, an entity originating in the Middle Ages that has protected and cared for environmental treasures in the valley for centuries.

A town in the central part of Val di Fiemme, Tesero opens the way to Pampeago, the Latemar, and Obereggen, an area that has always been tied to the world of sports and outdoor activities (including trekking, rock climbing, and cycling) in every month of the year. Numerous sports, cultural, and folk events are celebrated in Tesero, which is also a recognised centre for the artisan woodworking sector.
