Not sockpupperty but meatpuppetry
Background: There are reasons to believe some of the editors above are engaged in meatpuppetry for advocacy of adding dialect transcriptions of Singaporean BLPs articles. The choice of dialect is assumed based on an estimate of the name of the BLPs. A discussion was opened first at User talk:Whyiseverythingalreadyused#Non-Mandarin Chinese romanisations which was later moved to Non-Mandarin Chinese romanisations
I believe they are now acting as a WP:SPA ring of meatpuppets to advocate adding their assumed dialect transcripts without providing reliable sources, failing WP:reliability and WP:verifiability.
Reasons and evidence:
Warpswitch: On Warpswitch's first 30 or so edits, Warpswitch added dialect transcription to MRT stations, was reverted and then started discussion on their talkpage before seeking a consensus for adding dialect transcription to local transportation - Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Singapore/2025 archive#Adding Hokkien and other "dialect" romanisations to MRT station name pages. Limited participation means no consensus was taken. Despite the failure of the discussion, Warpswitch continued to add transcription, failing WP:BRD's discussion. A subsequent discussion with Icepinner at User talk:Icepinner/Queries#MRT and LRT stations etmology moved to Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Singapore/2025 archive#Etymology sections on MRT/LRT station pages which lapsed but generally consensus is against Warpswitch's implementation.
Warpswitch later return on 27 March to 3 April to add dialect transcriptions on BLP related articles. On 13 April, Whyiseverythingalreadyused reverted Warpswitch's changes,
Whyiseverythingalreadyused reverted Warpswitch's changes from 12 to 13 April which were reverted by Warpswitch and Vampyricon swiftly. Warpswitch would then joined in the discussion in Whyiseverythingalreadyused's talkpage.
Danielbunchie: Danielbunchie had participarted in the earlier discussion at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Singapore/2025 archive#Adding Hokkien and other "dialect" romanisations to MRT station name pages. despite very little edits on related articles prior. It is to be noted there was some prior contributions for dialect transcriptions as well.
Soon after the creation of the discussion on Whyiseverythingalreadyused's talkpage, Danielbunchie created their userpage and immediately interacted on Whyiseverythingalreadyused's talkpage here.
Whyiseverythingalreadyused noted that Warpswitch and Cr1ngef1sh might be canvassed offwiki which both of them failed to affirm or deny, and Danielbunchie immediately chose to threaten Whyiseverythingalreadyused. See the end of the section of Non-Mandarin Chinese romanisations.
This is highly indicative of off-wiki canvassing.
Cr1ngef1sh : Account is created on 30 March 2026 and immediately added dialect transcription to BLP related articled. Contribution history lasted from 30 Apil to 3 April of the same thing and immediately turned up for discussion at Whyiseverythingalreadyused's talkpage.
This is off-wiki canvassing
Vampyricon : Editor might have been asked offline to help with reverting Whyiseverythingalreadyused's reverts. Last activity was on 21 March 2026 before the start of mass reversion starting here. Given Vampyricon's past edits on similar dialect related pages, Vampyricon was probably noted for their work and asked to help offline.
Also Vampyricon did not participate in the initial discussion at User talk:Whyiseverythingalreadyused, after a lapse of inactivity for around 10 hours went into the discussion at Wikiproject Singapore here. While Vampyricon could had possibly read Whyiseverythingalreadyused's talkpage and joined in the discussion at the Wikiproject but it is likely again asked to participate in it.
This is indicative of off-wiki canvassing.
Eyteo : Account was created on 22 October 2022 but their first edit in 3.5 years is to comment in a very heavy discussion in the talkpage of WikiProject Singapore. This is well into roughly 4 hours of conversation. "And speaking purely as a user of Wikipedia and not so much an editor".... "I am not sure why this is suddenly being contested." While the talkpage is pretty much inactive, the talkpage had two prior similar discussions but about buildings. While Eyteo might not have been a meatpuppet, I am including Eyteo as a possible meatpuppet for consideration.
Conclusion: Discussion ahd tapered off at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Singapore#Non-Mandarin Chinese romanisations and heading to a non-consensus. I am raising this SPI for meatpuppets as the involved editors seems to do off-wiki canvassing and pushing a POV. This is not to stop further discussion. I had previously engaged at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Singapore/2025 archive#Etymology sections on MRT/LRT station pages and further engaged at the current discussion.
While there is no obvious sockmaster, Warpswitch was the "earliest" for the recent round of changing transcription, Freelance Intellectual (which I did not list as likely to be a neutral party) started the initial discussion triggering the whole discussion.
Instead of purposeful discussion, Danielbunchie sought to threaten to stop actions.
At the Wikiproject Singapore's discussion, listed editors sought to add transcriptions without reliable sources that it is the correct transcription to be used. Listed editors had sought out each other offline to help in pushing POV. ~ JASWE (talk) 04:50, 14 April 2026 (UTC)
