I think "relationship advice subs" are a bad example anyway, since those subreddits are full of people who love to see a miserable drama.

I see the double standards in healthcare settings every day . A man helping a woman with acts of daily living ie bathing / toileting /changing and people raise an eyebrow and sometimes consider it inappropriate. A woman helping a man is business as usual.
This is one of the reasons why men stay out of fields like education etc, the slander is real. Whilst you see a lot of news articles about female teachers having sex with their students.
And a lot of children are in need of a good male role model!
