That's Tristan, Lukas' older brother whom he lives with and who knows how to keep ill meaning vampires out of his territory and away from his brother. He takes that duty very seriously, to a point where he doesn't trust people outside the family, until he's sure they're okay. And although he comes off as cold and aloof towards most people, he's warm and loving towards those he cares about.
