I'd just like to clarify that Putin will play a very minor role in an edge scenario, he takes over Beloretsk if Russia collapses after losing the 2WRW, and his portrait is dependent on the ideology that unified Russia. This is his current communist portrait, but without the hat it'll also be the portrait for most warlords. New hat being made for this portrait.

that they word swap with the word fascism, other than that, the presence of Nazi Germany and their supposed, possible influence doesn't matter at all
They got in so deep of showcasing the evils of Cold War Amerika and their evil deeds and the upheaveals of the 1960s that they quite literally lost the plot of Germany winning WW2

>>
>>2374429
>unrealism
But TNO's definition of realism is retarded and constantly shifting.
The team's idea of what realism is varies about as wildly as a woman's mood. To Lam, Germany's sphere being unbreakable is le realism. To kateryna, Sweden, despite being surrounded by German puppets or allies, never deviating from the OTL Social Democrats or conservatives and also being allowed to set up a nuclear program without panzers driving into Scania is le realism. To Mango, a random republican activist who had no Presidential ambitions being elected and then becoming a fascist, and the US nuking Haiti when they could easily win a conventional war in a couple days is le realism. To whoever took over the Russia team after Corn went AWOL, Russia suddenly becoming tired when it hits almost its OTL boundaries and then relying on "conditionally loyal" Balt, Caucasian and Ukrainian partisans (which can somehow fight Germany and win at that point, whereas if Ukraine wins earlier, a non-canon nuke is dropped on Kyiv and it immediately folds) is le realism.
Realism means [thing the lead in question likes].
DV doesn't think about butterfly effects or even basic cause and effect. [Thing] happened in OTL so it will happen in TNOTL. The laziest, historical deterministic shit you've ever seen.

>Sweden, despite being surrounded by German puppets or allies, never deviating from the OTL Social Democrats or conservatives
Why would people living in a stable democracy deviate to the extremist ideologies?
>being allowed to set up a nuclear program without panzers driving into Scania is le realism
Their nuclear program is being conducted in a total secrecy. Its being revealed during a Kampfzeit, when the german leadership is disunited and doesnt control the army. Nukes are insanely easy to produce, so whoever comes on top will meet a sufficient nuclear arsenal.
>To Mango, a random republican activist who had no Presidential ambitions being elected and then becoming a fascist
I dont know much about US politics as im not ftom the US, but judging by her Wikipedia page she sounds like a prominent conservative activist. And she wont become a fascist.
>when they could easily win a conventional war in a couple days
They couldnt, because the US never wants to commit itself into a conventional war. Thats why Vietnam, Korea, Nicaragua, etc were all losses. Nuke is a cheap and easy way to win any war without full commitment.
>DV doesn't think about butterfly effects or even basic cause and effect
Most parts of Africa have a different starting situation from OTL, not even mentioning the outcome.

In some ways I think it makes sense that Nazi Germany wouldn't be too involved in Latin American affairs. The racial nature of the regime, plus its belief in autarky means in most cases they probably wouldn't bother trying to fuck around in LatAm. That would be more Japan and the Iberian Union.

I think the main place Germany would both fucking around with would be Venezuela, just to have access to the oil there just in case.

>They couldnt, because the US never wants to commit itself into a conventional war.
Kat, the US occupied all of Haiti for almost 20 fucking years from the 1910s-1930s most the time with just 100 marines.
The USA literally waged and won guerilla wars in Haiti in real life, decades prior to the game taking place.

That's why Germany owning Africa was so important. Because while it does make sense that the Nazis wouldn't really fuck around with East Asia or the Americas, they need to be involved somewhere for them to actually be a major faction gameplay-wise.
Africa was a good place for that. It made a bit of sense, it was a place they'd be able to conquer and would lead into their whole autarky mindset.
Plus it's just a naturally horrific image which really makes TNO stand out.

Now Germany is essentially going to be a non-factor. They won't have a civil war, won't lose parts of their European sphere, and won't be involved in the stories of literally anywhere else.

Good point.
But if we're getting into the territory of the US stopping the Europeans from influencing Africa, wouldn't both the US and Japan probably ensure all of West Africa be already independent?
Because the Vichy French and puppet British won't have any authority, in a Axis victory you'd think the Europeans would have lost practical control over West Africa by 1962

Kat, the advancing of time makes US control over Haiti easier, not harder.
Haiti is a dirt poor island nation with only one neighbor, who doesn't allow border crossings.
This means that guerillas would have nowhere to hide, and no way to get more supplies. And they also wouldn't have any meaningful amount of weapons to begin with.

France lost in Vietnam since Vietnam is 10 times larger both in population and geography and had a direct land border with nations who could easily smuggle in guns.
It and a hypothetical Haitian war would have nothing in common. Hell, Haiti doesn't even real have jungles. The people have already clean-cut their half of the island. Meaning they'd be easily targeted by air power.

If you, and the dumbasses on your mod team, think that the US wouldn't be able to control Haiti, then why the fuck would Vichy France and Germany have any shot at controlling Madagascar? A land which is more populous, more large, further away from the homeland of the nations involved, and with worse terrain for an occupying force?

France lost Vietnam because:
1) Japan actively funded rebel movements in Indochina for a large part of WW2
2) Vietnam is THOUSANDS of Kilometers away from France
3) They didnt really lose, they just kinda gave up. Mendes was a staunch enemy of the war, so when he came to power, he basically did all he could to pull out of the region.

If Mendes hadnt pulled out and Laniel woulda stayed in power, its not unthinkable that France would have kept its colonial empire for longer, or atleast a neo-colonial version of this.

Compare this to Haiti
- Noone to fund them
- Literally under a thousand km away from MAINLAND USA
- Nuking is a step above military intervention, and a much larger commitment. Troops can always be pulled out, buildings repaired, and money payed for reconcilliation. Nukes... not so much. Even now Japan is playing the "but we got nuked twice" card. And thats WITH them being a staunch US ally

>Haiti is a dirt poor island nation with only one neighbor, who doesn't allow border crossings.
Kat, the uprising starts after Puerto Plata. A good chunk of post-Puerto Plata leaders support it directly or indirectly. Trujillo deports a lot of haitians that join the resistance. Dominican Republic has a relatively weak border, otherwise there wont be any haitians for Trujillo to deal with OTL.
>France lost in Vietnam since Vietnam is 10 times larger both in population and geography
Retard, if you didnt know that before, France didnt attack the whole Vietnam, but rather certain areas, controlled by rebels. But wait, how did France won over Vietnam before, despite its size? Must be bad writing again.
>Hell, Haiti doesn't even real have jungles. The people have already clean-cut their half of the island. Meaning they'd be easily targeted by air power.
This could be a good argument. I see you used your small nigger brain to finally formulate a single decent thought. But even that didnt work in the end. Around 50% of the haitian land in 50s had jungles on it, with massive deforestation happening in 60s due to Trujillo's assasination and opening trade with Dominican Republic.
>If you, and the dumbasses on your mod team, think that the US wouldn't be able to control Haiti, then why the fuck would Vichy France and Germany have any shot at controlling Madagascar
Believe me or not, but they could lose it even in current version. And the US could win in Haiti in current version. Nuke is a last resort if you fucked up bad enough. So?
That still doesn't mean that Haitian rebels would be able to be supplied. It does take care of the leadership problem I forgot to mention, but it still leaves a rather small number of militants in a very small and isolated position.
>Trujillo deports a lot of Haitians
The number of Haitians doesn't matter if they don't have guns.
>The Dominican Republic border is weak
This is the most unrealistic shit I've ever heard. You think the DR would ever have a porous border with Haiti?
Moreover, the DR hates Haiti, always had. The DR government has no reason to ever arm the Haitians nor aid in their rebellion.
And even if they decided, for some unknown reason, to supply guns to Haiti, why would the US nuke Haiti instead of just blockading the Dominican Republic? The US successfully blockaded Cuba despite them being backed by the USSR and being a much larger nation. If guns were coming in through the DR, America would easily be able to stop that.
>Deforestation hadn't occurred yet
This is a good point, but it's not like jungle combat is impossible. When you have a very limited number of militants who can't get more supply, a prolonged war should be an easy victory for the USA.

>The nuke is for if you fuck up the minigame enough
The nuke is still really dumb. Like ungodly retarded. But it's good to hear that this is just a minigame and not pre-established or inevitable lore.

The US offering diplomatic support to Ghana is a lot less outlandish that the ground war in Africa between the US and Germany current TNO has. Surely you can see this argument doesn't hold much weight.
At any rate, Africa has a massive population and a shit ton of resources to extract. It's very much a place you want in your sphere as a Superpower, and Ghana would allow the US to expand into the rest of the continent.

>Japan actively funded rebel movements in Indochina
I dont know much about it, but i know for sure that they didnt fund Vietminh as they fought against it. And desu it sounds like a bullshit, cause Indochina was de-facto controlled militarily by Japan since 1940 and politically by Vichy France, their ally. Why would they arm rebels that will attack their own garrisons?
>They didnt really lose, they just kinda gave up
I mean, thats what losing essentially is. You lose if you cant achieve your goals. France couldnt achieve its goals and therefore lost. Laniel resigned as he realized he couldnt win the war and his successor's decision to cut the losses was backed by the entire parliament. Again, this logic applies only to democratic governments, because they cant afford themselves to wage an unpopular war.
>Nuking is a step above military intervention, and a much larger commitment
Japan is the perfect example of what im trying to say. They can only "play a card" with no real consequences. Their political establishment is staunchly pro-american their population is staunchly pro-american too, including ultranationalists, with only communists opposing the US. But they are fucking communists, they would be against the US anyway. Nuking after WW2 was concidered an option by the top US generals such as LeMay and MacArthur so its not an imaginary scenario. The very choice to not use nuke was made by politics and will remain as such with only certain leaders having an opportunity (!) to use them if things get really ugly and nothing else works. And i personally find the scenario of a post-WW2 usage of nukes against minor states interesting enough to explore.

Besides, im not here to defend Haiti-Vietnam parallel. Its just an example of a ragtag army defeating a first world power. We can discuss Algerian War as well, because it looks closer to Haiti in terms of geography.

>That still doesn't mean that Haitian rebels would be able to be supplied
How so? I have literally said that they are being directly or indirectly supported by the DR. How doesnt it change their ability to be supplied?
>The number of Haitians doesn't matter if they don't have guns.
Guns is never a problem as rebels always find a way to have them. It happened in LATAM and Africa multiple times with no clear soviet material support. Niggers in Kenya literally had bows and arrows to fight against GB and it took GB 4 years and concentration camps to deal with them.
>You think the DR would ever have a porous border with Haiti
Its not a question of what they want or dont want. These are facts on the ground. Both sides of the border are covered by jungles and DR border guard is either corrupt (Trujillo case in particular) or allows haitians to cross the border willingly.
>The DR government has no reason to ever arm the Haitians nor aid in their rebellion
Communists will help them because they are communists, Bosh will help them because he is a left wing retard.
>why would the US nuke Haiti instead of just blockading the Dominican Republic
They could. And what would they achieve by that? The US blockaded Cuba, but Cuba was a total loss by itself, so blockade was a damage control measure.
>When you have a very limited number of militants who can't get more supply, a prolonged war should be an easy victory for the USA
The longer the war drags the more unpopular it gets the bigger the government willingness to cut its losses become. The prolonged war for democracies is always worse than the swift war. The number of militants is virtually unlimited, because every local is a potential militant and you simply cant kill every local to achieve your goal (with nukes being a comfortable alternative). Look at Iraq. It was under the military occupation for 20 years and there are still militants attacking the US bases there.
>>
>>2374844
... And coincidentally, their development is the most fucked and dead out of all the powers.

Nuking Haiti/Gorky is retarded and makes as much sense as a scenario where Reagan ragequits Grenada by nuking the place. It's like swatting flies using dynamite and both scenarios could easily be handled with a single brigade. At least use the nuclear card in a conflict with actual stakes. I think everyone talking about the military merits of nuking the world's poorest, tiniest and most useless shitholes miss the actual point of the act which is to serve as cheap shock value. Both events are only meant to make you feel like the country doing it is bad and nothing else was ever considered.

I'm sure you could think of a lot of reasonable use cases in-universe but chief this ain't it and that's deliberate on part of the nudevs.

>I have literally said that they are being directly or indirectly supported by the DR.
That is really dumb. Just knowing the region and its culture, there is no circumstance where the DR would arm Haiti.
And even if they did, it would be incredibly easy for the US to stop that. America has so much economic influence on the DR that no government would resist an American request/demand to cease the arming of militants.
>Guns is never a problem because rebels always find a way to have them
Holy ignorance, Batman.
There is a massive difference between a small and incredibly impoverished island nation and mainland Latin America. Haiti only has a few sea ports, which would be immediately and fully ceased by the US, and one land border with a nation who wouldn't support them.
>The DR's border would be porous because it just would, okay?
Well that's dumb. That has always been one of the most guarded and contentious borders on the planet, especially under Trujillo.
>Communists will help Haiti
Which communists? TNO barely has any. It's a fascist world where the few remaining socialist states are loosely aligned with the US to fight the axis.
>What would be achieved by a blockade of Hispaniola?
The end of DR support for Haitian rebels.
>What good did the blockade do in Cuba?
We didn't have a military fighting in Cuba. If we did, we would have easily been able to destroy that government, or the rebels. We didn't choose to, which meant the regime changed and eventually sided with the USSR, preventing the US from intervening again.

When US troops have actually been deployed in the Caribbean, we have always won quickly. We occupied and destroyed all resistance in Cuba, Puerto Rico, Haiti, and the DR during the Banana Wars in the early 20th century. Later we easily overthrew both Trujillo and the government of Grenada.
There is no precedent for the US struggling in Caribbean island campaigns.

>The longer the war drags, the more unpopular it gets
But the war wouldn't drag. The US, with incredibly limited forces, has won the military campaigns in every direct military intervention in a Caribbean island in barely any time at all.

Now would the occupation become unpopular? Yes. It was in real life when he occupied Haiti for 19 years. The only reason we stayed that long was because we managed to hold the island together with only 100 marines, which made it easily ignorable, but we did eventually leave.

This gets to another issue with the nuking, there is just no reason to.
If America had a quagmire in Haiti and we wanted out, we'd just leave. Haiti is a really irrelevant impoverished island nation. This isn't Cuba which was a powerful island which sided with our main geopolitical enemy, this would be a much smaller rogue state we would have little investment in.

>Look at Iraq
This is a terrible comparison.
Iraq is 16 times the size of Haiti and over 4 times the population. Plus Iraq is a nation with huge ethnic and religious divides, a major religious subgroup which views war as holy, and is surrounded by neighbors which either harbor warlords or rich sheiks who would support religious terrorists.

Haiti is a homogenous island nation used to dictatorships. When we left Haiti, the guys we propped up continued to run the island for 15 years.
>>
>>2375025
nayrt but:
>Which communists? TNO barely has any. It's a fascist world where the few remaining socialist states are loosely aligned with the US to fight the axis.
This isn't true. This SHOULD be true, but for some reason far-left ideologies including communism are still relevant, popular and important in TNOTL. Most of this boils down to lazy otlism that ignores that Germany won WW2 (many such cases) like Mexico and elsewhere like in Britain they can become far more powerful, important and relevant than even the premise would justify because the Britain lead is a pretend-communist.

Good post overall. What I think ayrt is getting to is that there would be some kind of international brigade type of deal like you had in the Spanish Civil War for the Republicans, but I just don't see it happening. Even then, could you imagine seeing something of the scale of the fervor that you had for the Spanish cause in the 30s be replicated for some Caribbean Marxists, let alone enough to even pose a hypothetical threat to US marine presence? Don't think so. So even with communists being a thing, that argument is moot not just because of the cause but because getting there involves making it across the entire Atlantic ocean, evading the US navy and coast guard, and then landing in one of the country's few functioning ports without being detained by marines.

Fortunately, it changes to make the US forpol more nuanced. There are pro-US leftists, anti-US leftists, pro-US dictatorships, anti-US dictatorships. Take OTL Trujillo and Batista for instance. An insurgency actually has to achieve something for it to matter and that's not going to happen as easily if the ideology is functionally dead and doesn't have any state power anywhere in the world. The fact that you use post-USSR movements like FARC as an example is just embarrassing too and you should feel ashamed of yourself for grasping at straws like this to justify the communist insurgency in Haiti being so big and bad it needs nukes to be put down. For starters, the USSR existing and propping up its ideology for fifty years isn't the same thing as communism being destroyed in its infancy and counter-insurgency in half of a tiny island isn't the same thing as fighting one in a country that's nearly twice the size of Texas. >>
>>2375406
With all respect i have for you retard (none), im not sure that you even understand how hold a discussion. You are trying to make an argument and im successfully making a counterargument, an then you start crying about "muh its not identical to Haiti". Stupid fucking nigger you wont find two identical situations anywhere in the world as there are no identical things in nature. For starters, the third most important person in the US economy became communist at least in 1939 and somehow 20 years of existing was enough. Im sure niggers on some fucking island will be more stubborn to accept this ideology.
>>
>>2375412
If you don't understand why exhibit A being a hundred times larger than exhibit B matters then congrats, you somehow lack cognitive functions that most toddlers have. And again, you keep using examples that are invalidated by the mod's timeline. But I guess I shouldn't be surprised when the mod is riddled with so many other cases like Mexico and heaps of DV where the fall of the USSR is less than an afterthought as far as it's impact on the alt history. But yes, keep throwing around slurs like we care. We know you devs like to treat /vst/ as a Doki where you get to use the scary no-no words you moralize against others for using on Discord.
>>
>>2375426

You didn't, though. All you're doing is appeals to OTL and calling people racial slurs you wouldn't get away with on any official TNO platform... to defend niggers. Why are you calling people niggers in order to defend Haitian niggers?
>>
>>2375545
You complete and utter moron, we are discussing realism and what do you think realism is? Of course you have to compare TNOTL events to OTL to define what sounds real and what doesnt. Fucking retard, im done with your stupidity, you dont deserve my reply.
>>
>>2375503
You didn't. You just appealed to OTL while ignoring every single timeline change and used false equivalences like comparing the tiny shithole of Haiti to the vastness of Colombia and pretended that these were 1:1 comparisons and then simply declared victory while calling people names whenever you got pushback. You're behaving exactly like we've come to expect of you devs.
>>
>>2375558
>what do you think realism is
Whatever the leads say it is, you bozo.
The fucking Nazis lost WW2 in our timeline. You can't just compare shit from OTL to an Axis victory timeline and expect them to make sense because there's an Elefant in the room.
>>
>>2375558
And this, ladies and gentlemen, is why TNO is as stupid as it is. This guy doesn't even understand that the realism of our world isn't applicable to TNO. If the entire timeline changes then no you can't just lazily copy-paste shit from Wikipedia and call it a day. It's exactly this kind of mentality that has led to you just bolting on OTL Africa onto an Axis victory timeline.

Tabby Russia can avoid collapse after unification, but I'm not sure if it's an AI path since Goodwinson made it. Tabby unifying Russia is basically a player only path anyways, but yes, Tabby's ministers can fake his death and later launch the 2WRW and potentially lose it, and if they do Putin will get this portrait as a post-collapse warlord.
As a bonus, Hyperborean AB portrait.

Complete TNO newfag, found out about the mod few weeks ago, can anyone suggest what countries to play? I have finished Burgundy and I am trying Germany now, any other suggestions? But reading the threads I see a depressing picture of the mods future and Burgundy being threatened to be removed which I hope doesn't happen.
>>
>>2375785
Burgundy isn't particularly good or fun to play desu, so you've got the best ahead of you. Reccomend playing Guangdong, a Russian Warlord (Komi, Kemerovo and Amur are all good imo) and Brazil have good decade long content. USA is also fine and Britain if you don't mind it being short and blueballing you
>>
>>2375785
Burgundy along with most old content is being removed or replaced. The tl;dr is that the mod was hijacked. The current leads purged everyone that created what made the mod popular and it's been in a total dev hell since then while they frantically remove content. You're recommended to unsub from the "main" mod and play one of the reduxes instead. TNO: Rises Again is a mod that keeps all the old stuff including Atlantropa and builds on that while TNO: Requiem tries to add content to a 2024 build and it's a middle ground between the two. Sorry to break it to you but shit's fucked and TNO would be dead if it wasn't for these fan preservation projects.

As for tags to play: all Russian warlords are worth playing but some are better than others. Komi is very varied and fun, Amur and Kemerovo have great writing, you can honestly find lots of good qualities in all of them. Guangdong is also highly recommended if you want to get into the economics of the mod with an interesting premise. It's not supported by RA though so that's worth considering since it's based on a build that predates Guangdong.

Burgundy is confirmed to be removed and has been cut from dev builds for years. The only thing that's keeping it playable in the official Steam version is the coder bleed and expanding scope of Germany's rework which has stalled it for longer than I was in college.

Play Requiem because it's way better optimized and there is 2WRW content.

you are supposed to start by playing one of the russian unifiers or spain
how did you not fall into a failed state playing burgundy blindly
>>

Is there a discord sever for TNO:RA?
>>
>>2375866

>>
>>2375844
Don't forget it's got new South Africa content as well in stead of throwing it all out
>>
>>2375785
If you plan on playing a Russian warlord do requiem. It has 2wrw timeline and doesn’t have the new societal development requirements for tech added in odf.
>>
>>2375887
Understandable.

>>2375904
Fuck I forgot that even was a thing. Made Russia nearly unplayable by locking off most research until the late game. It's so fucking dumb. What were they thinking?
>>
>>2375866
I hope Burgundy will have a path to take over Germany.
>>
>>2375920
And France
>>
>>2375921
I think the planned Burgundy 2 content did that really well.
>Late game, there's a final battle between France and Burgundy
>This caps off their 70s content and is a lead-in to their respective late game content
Yes the SS division in nuBurgundy isn't the same thing but I liked the idea. For gameplay, it made a lot of sense.

For Burgundy to take over Germany without Heydrich using the fallout of a 2WRW that went south could work, but it might seem lazy to just repeat the old SS coup lore which I think Rises Again keeps.
>>
Any info on Requiem? They've been very quiet, no teasers and no leaks. When is that next update coming out?

They're still minigame and realism-pilled

>>

desu they were probably just picked up because they worked with a concept people cared about. If you made a submod for a tag that was popular and it at least reached demo status, you could probably pull it off too with at least one of the reduxes.

None of those mods are about something people actually care about like the funny Azerian Assad so you're probably just dumb, stupid and far more retarded than anyone out of India, let alone Brazil, if you don't understand how these things work in the broader community. Maybe if you made a submod about something that matters, a good mod like Rises Again would take you on (don't count on it).

>There were 2 post-WW2 military interventions in the Carribean as far as i know: DR and Grenada. None of these included anti-partisan operations.
We did anti partisan operations in Cuba, Puerto Rico, and both Haiti and the DR before WW2 and won all of them.
Why would it be different when the US is even more powerful?

>You don't have to nuke Haiti
Yeah, but it's such a ridiculous option though. Like why there not going to be an option for Russia to get back Eastern Europe in the 2ndWRW, but the US can nuke Haiti for no reason?
>Haiti's homogeneity would make an occupation harder
No it wouldn't, because all the US would have to do (and this is something we did multiple times in the Banana wars) is have a free election and leave, and there won't be more fighting since the population is homogenous.
The reason Iraq and Afghanistan were suck quagmires was because they would devolve to ethnic and religious violence whenever we weren't guarding it.
In Haiti an election could be held which would allow the US to just leave easily.

Both of them stem from the devs IRL politics.
Russia, regardless of who's in charge, will get sleepy east of their current borders, cave to Germany despite winning, and agree to recognize the borders of the RKs. This makes no sense but happens anyway because the devs suffer from Ukraine war brain rot. America nuking Haiti and irradiating their backyard also makes no sense but happens anyway because the devs suffer from US politics brain rot and TDS. Simple as.

>>
>>2376476
It did improve some things in my opinion. Having the cw be between actual fascist collaborators and a resistance hits harder than a battle between two sides that both want to move away from Germany just to give one example. So maybe not necessary, but it brought some upsides.

Buuut it'll never be more than a demo especially after Frost purged all his old co-leads on the project so in the end it's all moot and for everything good there's tons of things that, at best, is wasted potential.

>>
>>2376476
>But what was wrong with original UK?
No real fascist paths, just different tories who would pivot away from Germany, gratuitous young Thatcher inclusion as leader, Wilson inexplicably libsoc but just implementing standard Labour policy, nonsensical Wales and Scotland, generally bad writing. We'll never see another Britain update again but if the rework's planned content had ever been made and released it would have been light years ahead of the Britain content on release, especially with the Jordan esoteric hitlerist path being a full path.
>>
>>2376557
The Ruin was a complete shitshow of an update
Originally it was called Lech I Rus and was supposed to have Ukraine and Poland content
Problem was Poland dev was way too optimistic about how fast the content would get made and the devs were dumbfounded when they found out it wasn't close to being releasable
Then they had to retool the update, renaming it to The Ruin and integrating TFL while indefinitely delaying Poland content
Apperantly on the day of release Ukraine didn't even have all of it's GFX coded in. Utter shitshow
Now, UK content is nowhere to be seen, undergoing a characterization rework for most of the paths (and deciding that Jordan will actually be playable and not a failstate) and as well they have to account for DV too
Ukraine on the other hand, is getting the insurgency mechanic in TMT, which was intended to be a stop-gap for missing content. RK content is on indefinite pause, waiting for V&J to release, but it is getting skeleton content apperantly
>>
>>2376550

>Losing most of our coders to reworks and purges shouldn't make this an issue
Same team that needed at least four years to even figure out what the GCW replacement should even look like btw. Your friend's probably retarded or new to the team if he doesn't know how bad their track record is with these kinds of things. And no, you can't just add back Portugal's colonial empire as a minigame and call it a day. It being destroyed is a core reason for Iberia existing in the first place. But they handwaved away Atlantropa no longer existing so maybe they'll do that for it as well.
>>
>>2376737
i meant that the mechanics for the colonies are apparently gonna be in TMT and then expanded when DV comes out, sorry i phrased that poorly
>>
>>2376738
That sounds a lot more reasonable. I still don't trust that they'll deliver anything good if only because DV is such a big narrative clusterfuck for the entire mod but at least that sounds manageable.
