PROGRAM

TAKANAWA PITCH

To create global co-benefits *1, we are holding a pitch contest for startups with technologies and services that contribute to solving social issues. We are seeking business ideas based on the following four themes, with the aim of creating a fulfilled life a century into the future. Utilizing TAKANAWA GATEWAY CITY *2, partner companies, primarily JR East, will support these ideas.

*1 Reassessing current economic activities that place a heavy burden on the Earth and striving for profits that harmonize the Earth and humans.
*2 As part of the Shinagawa Development Project, the project will inherit the historical background of the area as the gateway to Edo and the memory of innovation as the site of Japan's first railway, and will work to create a city that will continue to give birth to new businesses and cultures as an "experimental site for a fulfilled life a century into the future," with the development concept of "Global Gateway."

Theme

  • Environmental Protection
  • Mobility and Robotics
  • Healthcare
  • Regional Revitalization

EXHIBITS

In order to create global co-benefits centered around four themes (1) Environmental protection, 2) Mobility and Robotics, 3) Healthcare, 4) Regional Revitalization, startups and large companies with technologies and services to solve social issues will set up booths to exhibit.
LiSH (TAKANAWA GATEWAY Link Scholars' Hub) member startups, city partners, JR East Group, and other startups are scheduled to exhibit.
There will be a mini pitch stage where exhibitors will take turns giving pitches, and a business meeting area will also be set up.

DEMONSTRATION

TAKANAWA GATEWAY CITY is being developed based on the concept of being an "experimental site for a fulfilled life a century into the future."
At GATEWAY Tech TAKANAWA 2026, we will utilize the large outdoor space in front of the station to conduct large-scale demonstrations, including driving and test drives of Mobility vehicles and Robotics, which would be difficult to do on public roads or in existing facilities.
By not just "talking" about ideas and products, but also "operating, trying them out, and experiencing them," this town will take a definite step towards social implementation.

CONFERENCE

The event will feature speakers from startups, businesspeople, large corporations, researchers and experts from Japan and abroad who are at the forefront of innovation to solve global issues, focusing on the themes of global co-benefits and creating a fulfilled life a century into the future.
Through sessions focused on the four major themes of Environmental protection, Mobility and Robotics, Healthcare, and Regional revitalization, we will provide visitors with diverse perspectives and ideas for realizing global co-benefits.
