Hunk_AllocateTempMemory failed???
Ok, so recently i bought me a GTX 970 and i was experimenting a bit with Dynamic Super Resolutions and making ingame screenshots to compare the images of the DSR with the native resolution images (1920x1080).
When making a screenshot with the DSR set higher than 2715x1527(2.00x) i get this error:
Hunk_AllocateTempMemory: failed on 18663241 bytes.........,needs 3893689 more hunk bytes.
This is the first time i have ever seen this message and also google couldn't really help me out.
Anyone knows what this is and how to solve this?

I doubt it is because of low memory. The GTX 970 has 4 GB, and I recently added 8 GB to the 4 GB of system memory i previously had installed.
BO2 ran without any problems on the highest settings with 4 GB, so...

I have 32GB of ram, A gtx 1080TI sc2, asus Rog strix x299 mobo, and a Intel i-9 7980XE
and I also have this problem. Is there a fix yet?
Sorry for the necro, but this affected every COD from 4 to AW for me when trying to take a screenshot and it took forever to find a fix, so for anyone googling this error what finally worked was opening the console with ` and typing:

/set com_hunkmegs 512

I have 32GB but I guess the game doesn't allocate enough RAM by default (just speculation though because i have no idea)

cg_fov 85, cl_mouseAccel 0 are also worth trying out on the older games without menu options for these

Was struggling with the same thing in Return to Castle Wolfenstein, but strangely only in some levels. This fixed it, thank you!
Is there a way to set hunkmegs in a config file? In United Offensive I created config.cfg file with the entry "seta com_hunkmegs "128"" in it to fix crashing when taking screenshots.

But I don't know if there is a way to put it on the launch command line or in a config file for WaW. Google searches didn't find anything like that.
