Chapter 3 of Josephus and Jesus: New Evidence for the One Called Christ is a comprehensive study of Josephus's language noting hundreds of parallels between his linguistic style and the linguistic style of the Testimonium Flavianum. Such parallels unmistakably point to Josephus as the author. The chapter begins like this:

In Chapter 4 of Josephus and Jesus I summarize the lexical and grammatical parallels between the Testimonium Flavianum (TF) and Josephus's other works. I then conduct a word frequency evaluation to show that rare words and common words are used in the TF at the same rate they are used elsewhere in Josephus's work – a noteworthy find.

Chapter 5 of Josephus and Jesus examines the sources through which Josephus learned of Jesus. It turns out that Josephus was closely connected with those who attended Jesus's trial —much more on this later.

Chapter 6 of Josephus and Jesus identifies specific individuals whom Josephus knew and who also could or would have been at the trial of Jesus. The chapter notably shows that in all likelihood Josephus was directly familiar with certain of those responsible for the crucifixion of Jesus.

In the conclusion of Josephus and Jesus, I argue that the testimony of Josephus (the Testimonium Flavianum) should be interpreted far more ambiguously or even negatively by scholars on account of its non-Christian statements and vocabulary, as well as its various potentially negative claims about Jesus. I then describe what the TF can tell us about the Jesus of history, his miracles, and resurrection.
