Today, for the fourth time, the U.S. and Israeli regimes attacked the Bushehr nuclear plant in Iran. These senseless strikes put the Iranian public and the wider region at risk of radioactive exposure. They also threaten the Persian Gulf’s waters, a vital source for regional desalination plants. Such criminal actions violate international regulations and IAEA General Conf. resolutions that forbid attacking peaceful nuclear sites because of the environmental and human toll. Nothing justifies silence or a failure to strongly denounce and deter such actions, before a catastrophe occurs.
