breakfast this morning. back to eating mostly Japanese style, as it's my preference, though it's adapted a lot to only need a microwave or the kettle, due to spoons. didn't have natto (I love it) as I haven't been able to get a Japanese grocery order in, but made do with salmon. not as good as if I could actually cook from scratch as was my preference before health went to shite, but still very satisfying.

My Mom got to meet two of my Girlfriends today and she was chill and accepting about me being poly.

Since I came out as Trans to her in 2023 her narrow-minded boomer mindset seems to slowly have changed and she only says "my daughter", never misgendering me or using my deadname anymore. It took some time to get here, but today she said: "I see how happy you are and that you are truly being yourself. I am proud of you as my daughter and even though you love in a different way than I do - what matters is that you are happy."

This nearly got me crying and in 37 years of always fighting with my Mom - I finally feel understood by her.

I am incredibly grateful that even the most stubborn person I know can change her mind.
