Top Free Mac Replacements for Paid Productivity Apps
Because value doesn’t have to cost a fortune.
I used to spend a lot of money on various apps and tools for Mac. Apps like Things 3, paid calendars, reminder apps, knowledge storing systems, and complex project management tools.
I’ve also paid for templates, custom-made scripts, and even custom-made color themes. Basically, every “productivity” solution out there — I’ve likely given it a try at some point in the last 4–5 years.
But at the beginning of this year, I took a long, good look at my stack and realized that most of the tools that I have aren’t giving me actual power.
They only give me the feeling of having a separate tool for the right task.
So I decided to reduce my stack to free or nearly free tools that will not only let me get more done, but also take some pressure off my wallet.
