Senior Tunnel Engineer

Job Description

1. Develop detailed designs for tunnel structures, including alignment, cross-section, and support systems.
2. Conduct site investigations and analyze geological and hydrological data to inform design and construction methods.
3. Coordinate project schedules, budgets, and resources, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
4. Supervise tunneling operations, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and safety regulations.
5. Work closely with architects, civil engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
6. Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle.
7. Implement quality assurance protocols to maintain high standards in construction practices and materials used.
8. Prepare progress reports and documentation for stakeholders and regulatory bodies.

Job Requirements

1. Degree in Civil Engineering, or related education.
2. Able to work shift work, 12 hour shift, 6 day work week
3. Compressed air fit
4. Excel in microsoft office and excel
5. Strong knowledge of tunneling methods (e.g., TBM, NATM)
6. 10 years or more experience in construction core tunnelling
